Reply from seller: I understand your concern and your willing to protect members' interests. I'll cooperate to make you recover from the bad story about that guy who disappeared. My name is Unique, Chinese name ZHENG Jun-yi, General Manager of Changzhou RYTSON International Trade Co.,Ltd. By email I can send you our company registration certificates in China if you want. RYTSON was established in 2007. RYTSON website: www.rytson.com Changzhou Jiulong Auto Parts Factory is our factory producing parts for Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Mitsubishi and Toyota parts. Jiulong was established in 1982, website: www.jieyin.com We attended AAPEX in 2008 and 2009, and this year maybe we'll still go to Las Vegas. We came across Omix Ada in SEMA show during AAPEX period and they come to Shanghai last December for Automechanica Shanghai Show and started negotiation with us for supply. We are also supplier of Crown Automotive Sales. About retails in forum, that's just because I found information in jeepforum and your comancheclub and nexia a lot of demand of 2500 kit. So I am trying to sell here. Hope you can understand our position and willingness to expand 2500 kits business. Thanks. What do you guys think? I can steer him to this thread, and maybe he can answer any questions. Rob L.

Surprisingly, he is resolving the issue with me as we speak... I have the company supplier address, the website, and all sorts of info. I will keep you guys posted... He is based out of China, but says that his company supplies Omix Ada, and Crown automotive... This is what I told him: "Sorry, I know somethings get lost in translation. Here is the story. Awhile back, we had a member who was in contact with some one who had a shipment of 2500 parts direct from china. He collected everyone's money to do a "group buy" and then disappeared. We are talking about thousands of dollars. Please excuse me if I come across as harsh, I am just trying to protect the members from this happening again. If you look at it from my point of view, here is a member that has never posted here before, offering up the parts. No history with the group, no prices (at first), and no story besides the parts list and the price. What I would like to see from you, is maybe a little background about you and your company. Maybe a company website, or more of your details about working with omix ada? I just want re-assurance that there is a face and a company that cares about putting the time fourth to deal with the members, and make sure the sale goes well, and follows through. Let me know who you are, and some story here. Thank you. I hope you understand." I will keep you guys updated on what I find. Rob L.

Then more from front fenders wrapping around to provide better winch protection. Again attached to the front bumper and front fenders with a crossbar under the hood. Bumper itself has a integrated 2” receiver with two heavy wall 1” square stock triangulated to the wheel wells. With two mounting points. Front bumper is a work in progress… It’s a mixture of 2x4 and 2x2x1/8” wall stock. Attached to a DETOURS back bone winch mount. On the mount is a WARN 8000 with AM STEEL blue synthetic rope with a safety thimble instead of a hook. With a Spyder-trax aluminum hawse fair lead. Extensive trimming of the fenders. Front was to allow clearance. The rear was to cut out cancer. Fender stiffeners added as well as a pool noodle to block air and road debris form the front doors. For a paint job, I sprayed it Rustoleum deep Blue from rattle cans in the driveway!! I mounted my HI-Lift to the bed side in home built mounts. I recently replaced the hood lift with proper steel pieces and installed some hood louvers to aid in heat evacuation. I really like the look. Best MJ story My truck has gone thru a pretty incredible transformation… I bought it and said it would stay stock. I put 30” BFG’s on it and drove it… but LOVED to too much and wanted to wheel it a bit. SO the mods began. It say on 31s for some time then three different 33” tires!! Its been on at least three different lifts and lift heights. Its had three different lockers and two different axles under it. I even came close to junking it when I found the badly rusted “frame”… But some diligence and help form local wheelers and my brothers here on CC I brought her back from the dead. Actually this is my favorite and thing I am most proud of. My repairs to the frame on my MJ. My complete build is documented right here on CC!! http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... f=7&t=1230 What owner loves best about CC What can I say, I couldn't possibly name just one. We are a certainly a diverse bunch, linked by a common love, our trucks. I come here first thing when I get up and drink my coffee in the morning and it’s the first thing I do when I get home from work. Then I get on again before bed for an hour or three talking with all my CC brothers! Although I have only personally met a couple of the guys. I feel like I have known most for years. I would welcome all into my home should any of them be in the neighborhood. Thank you to Pete for bringing this place to a reality. Thank you to all the mods and behind the scenes fellas that keep this thing live!! Yes, I have been fighting to get some info from the guy in the classifieds, and locked his threads until we get more info. I want some more details, like shipping, where he is, where the parts are, etc... He did repost the thread with prices, but, as Dave said, seems a little fishy. Until he gives out more info, I will keep locking him down, or boot his account. Rob L.

Back when quad stackers came out at Burger King, the guys at work had their own little challenge. One guy who is a bottomless pit got a free lunch on us because he finished 4 quad stackers with bacon, one king fry and a large coke. Don't remember exactly, but I think it was around 4000-6000 calories... And after, he still had the pizza he brought in for lunch. Rob L.

Rear axle, front axle beef. If you think about it, our trucks are pretty stout, capable rigs right out of the box. The biggest weak link is the rear axle. Throw a D44 or 8.8 back there, gear it accordingly to what you want to do, and from there, its all pick and choose. Rob L.

I bet ruts, and knocked trees down. Tree's ain't cheap, and neither is paying a guy to fix the ruts. Rob L. -
Man, if I had access to an auction like you it would be bad news. Nothing would ever get sold, and I would always see something that I "Had to have..." Looking good. Rob L. :D

So I spun a rod bearing... now what?
Automan2164 replied to Philistine's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yep, with basic hand tools, you would be fighting one hell of a battle with an HO swap. In order to put in anything besides another 2.5L you are talking major mods... Wiring harness, interior and engine bay, transmission, etc, etc... I would just keep the CL eyes peeled for a longblock, or if you plan on keeping the truck, why not just get a reman/new? Rob L. -

I think that's a good way to deal with it. He seemed pretty unhappy to be on the video, and just might think twice next time before crossing a closed gate. Rob L. -
what police car? :hmm: I had an '84 Dodge Diplomat with the police option. Here is a short video of it one day when I had it out... Fun car... Rob L.

Please pull the shaft. You do not loose much fluid, maybe a half quart, it takes 5 minutes, and it keeps all the assemblies in the transfercase from spinning while you are towing. Do you really want to risk damage if it only takes 5 minutes to prevent? Rob L.
-
I ALWAYS pull the shaft. Its 4 bolts. Not like its 50 of them... Bring an 8mm and a small mallet, and you have everything you need to pull it... :dunno: Rob L.

Lucky son of a... Congrats man. Rob L.

mj payload & towing capability?
Automan2164 replied to zzze's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I don't think it was made strictly for over seas. I believe its a "kit" for mini trucks available in the early '90's. There is a dually track truck somewhere, and a camper floating around. All domestic. Rob L. -
Those cans are a waste of time. ESPECIALLY with the stop leak. The stop leak will plug a hole for sure, but think about what it does to the compressor? Or the orifice tube? Yikes. I have dealt with auto a/c for awhile, and those cans are the biggest money maker for me on side jobs. What I would do is take a good look at the system, and take it into a place that can pull it into a vacuum and check it for leaks. Holding it in a sustained vacuum will also remove a good amount of moisture (icky bad). Then if it passes, then you can have them charge it. Most places will be in the $200 range to do a leakdown test and charge. Rob L.
