The blend door and such is vacuum operated... Not the fan. The fan is all electrical. Does it still do it if you unplug the blower motor resistor? Rob L.

Its going to be heavily frozen to the knuckle. Try a chisel between the ear of the unit bearing (by where the bolt threads in), and the knuckle. I usually put it on an angle away from the hub, so if it starts to break it free, I can keep going and make more room. If that doesn't work, you need a bigger hammer. Rob L.

YIKES!!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: We forgot to inform you that the FRAM filters are very bad for the 4.0L. They are a really poor design, and have caused many problems. And I hope the stop leak tranny fluid isn't going in the Comanche. As a rule, anything with stop leak might solve a minor problem short term, but cause a whole mess o' trouble long term. Its easier to remove the starter, its only a few bolts, and it gives you that much more room to work with. I don't think I had to remove the exhaust. You will however, need to drop the axle down if its on a 4x4 at stock height. Rob L.
