  1. Phones had cords? How the hell do you dial that? Where are the buttons? Rob L. ;)
  2. They look great. Rob L.
  3. Unless I missed something here, you will need more than that to make a '96 cluster work in an MJ. It won't be plug and play if thats what your looking for. You will have to make your own harness. Rob L.

  5. Location? Rob L.
  6. You should pick one up. If the truck was running at the time you had the lights on like you said, then died, the alternator was most likely toast. You'll just cook another battery if you put the new one in and try again without checking the system. Rob L.
  7. You are asking that is it possible for the battery to die when the high beams are on? Yes but not with a functioning (or properly operating) alternator. hmm alright thanks. battery isnt cheap :( is there any way trick to buy battery for cheap like 50 bucks than 70-100ish? Easy killer. You need to figure out if you have proper charging voltage before you pull out the parts shotgun. Check your voltage with the Jeep running, and let us know what it is. Rob L.
  8. Nope. The free software we have doesn't allow that. Rob L.
  9. I picked up a used toughbook out of a Government surplus auction. The fully rugged model, touchscreen, rubber backlit keyboard, magnesium case, all sorts of goodies. Its my garage computer, I have the '92 MJ FSM loaded onto it, and its nice to be able to page through the touchscreen while laying under the jeep. I picked it up for $50, and bought the factory internal mounted WiFi card and antenna to keep it waterproof for $100 and put it in myself. I run yahoo radio through some CPU speakers for tunes while wrenching, and keep it on CC for the important stuff. For $150, its a great tool to have in the garage. Rob L.
  10. Someone should grab the plastics off of that. Looks like it has the rear pieces too. If I were closer, I would, just to keep it out of the trash. Rob L.
  11. Seeing as it landed in a "yard", I am sure commonsense was out on break at the time. Rob L.
  12. I've been dating my GF for about 5 almost 6 years now, and she caught the tail end of my first MJ cycle... She loved driving the done-up '91 Eliminator I had on 31's, and then I sold everything off to play with a cummins Ram. Once I blew that up, I picked up an XJ, and got struck again. I told her that I was going to pick up MJ's again, and that she would have no idea how serious it was about to get. 2 years later, about 7 MJ's, 2 XJ's, a ZJ, numerous half-trucks/parts, and countless windshield time getting the stuff, and she see's how bad it really is. She gripes on me sometimes about not supporting her horse hobbies (I never really go to watch her practice) and gets on my case about spending all my time on CC. I understand, but there are a lot of worse things I could be doing, and if she don't like what I am doing, she knows where to find the door. My house, my rules, my Jeeps. Rob L. 8)
  13. If you wish... I ordered the regular body, and have the GF's older brother (who is a lurker here on CC) doing some reconnaissance on what chassis' will and will not fit. Rob L.
  14. Here is the chassis that they made the body for... AXIAL SCX10 http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/scx10-rtr/index.html I found a video, They are running an XJ body on it, since the MJ wasn't available at the time, but you can see the sweet things this thing can do, and how real they function. My GF's older brother is really into RC racing, and he said that they are starting to have RC crawler competition courses alongside the regular racing spring up. Here's the Vid: Rob L.
  15. Close enough... Point is that they are making them again, and I just ordered one even though I don't have a chassis for it. Details, details... Now to find an awesome chassis. Now I just need Spencer to get cranking on some scale Eliminator and Chief decals. :D Rob L. :clapping:
  16. http://prolineracing.com/bodies/jeep-co ... lear-body/ YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will have one!!! Rob L.
  17. Chick magnet thing aside, I don't know about you, but I would have to resist the urge to find a nice restaurant and try to have them valet park it... :rotf: Rob L.
  18. Going to seek the all knowing advice of Comanche Club in quest of finishing off my U.A.V. Grand Cherokee on this one... Awhile back I stumbled onto this brush guard for my ZJ on CL, and scooped it up for $120 bucks. After some struggling, I got the factory tow hooks it needed for install, and tossed it on... Looks Durn good if I say so myself. 8) But that gaping hole in the center needs some lights... Good lights. I have cheapo's in the attic, and they aren't touching this thing. I was thinking about some Hella 500's, for a classic look, and nice functionality. But I am not sure. What do you guys think? PIAA's are always an option also... and don't forget to answer this biggie... Round or square? I am trying to keep it under $100, match the theme of the ZJ, and functional working light. Just fishing for some input... Rob L.
  19. Android user here. HTC EVO 4G. Love the phone, but no MJ game for me. :( NOTE TO ANDROID USERS!!! FEAR THE ANDROID 2.2 FROYO! I just updated... it mega sucks. Audio on Pandora sounds muffled, text's are jazzed up, phone sucks, and my voicemail is jacked up. Hold out as long as you can. Rob L.
  20. Is it just me, of does their website seem a little "Fly by night" anyway... I mean, when Haiti happened, "Dontation" and "aid" websites popped up all over the place that were actually scammers... I get that vibe when crusing around that Fast aid site. Rob L. :dunno:
  21. Its a good swap for those who have the V6 and want to go AX15 (2.5L and the 2.8L have the same bellhousing) Or, like Pat, are wanting to put a bigger V6 in place (like the 3.1/3.4/3.8) and the AX5 no longer can hold up to the power. You can get the whole shebang off of an early '90's Dodge Dakota too, as they had the 2.5L, and AX15. Rob L. :D
  22. Never heard it, so I looked it up... Actually not too bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kzHV9Eg8EI Rob L.
  23. AMC MJ needs to chime in here... He used some sort of house wrap that was similar to dynamat, but came in rolls, had an aluminum backer, and a sticky rubber adhesive surface. Rob L.
  24. These ppl rly don't give a damn Eagle; they don't mind appearing like idiots I guess. I'll just ignore these posts from now on. :rotfl2: btm, (sorry don't know your name)... One of the biggest pet peeve of the board is text speech, and mis-spelling. While it might not seem like a big deal to you, it turns off a TON of experienced members. Not too long ago we had a very enthusiastic member who was a lot like yourself. Full of energy, tons of questions to ask, and excited to be here... He had the same problem though, short choppy words, misspellings all over... Eventually after some harping, he's all better, and you wouldn't know who I am talking about. Guess what I am trying to say is, just take your time, and use a spell checker. Not only do you sell yourself short by making you appear uneducated and hyper, but you turn off guys who are very helpful who don't want to sift through a mangled post. While it doesn't bother me once and awhile if someone stumbles a bit, or was noticeably tweaking about a problem, that's fine. However, once it becomes commonplace, I too, will tend to look at a screen name and go on about my day. Slow down, use spell check, and proper punctuation... You'll be surprised how many more members you'll see chime in. Rob L. ;)
