  1. It should mount to the side like this .. Original bumper and brackets ..

  3. I wouldn't pay a hundred, I'd offer $50, ask them to throw the bent housing for free or tell them you'd bring it back after you got the gears out. Myself, I wouldn't think twice about running used gears as long as they don't have heat or physical damage. I like saving money however I can. I just came back from the JY where I got the rear axle . They are firm on their prices . The other axle is at another yard , I'd like to open it up before I bought it to make sure they are not damaged . Maybe he'll wheel and deal ...
  4. Here's a better price and part number 523 -202 off of dormans website . http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearch.aspx?type=keyword&q=Bushing&year=2001&make=Jeep&model=Grand%20Cherokee&origin=YMM http://m.ebay.com/itm/Dorman-Suspension-Control-Arm-Bushing-523-202-/381407053466?nav=SEARCH http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=6686368&jnid=301&jpid=0

  6. I'm going from 3.07 gears to 4.10 . I know of a front 4.10 axle with a bent tube for $100 but Leary of using used gears .
  7. Thanks for the info / help . Your axle is waaay cleaner then mine .now I'm on the hunt for a matching front axle ...
  8. It's a manual , the tag is still on the axle with 4.10 ratio .
  9. Manual windows and the panels are gone .
  10. Going to possibly get the axle out of this tommorow . Vin 1J4FT27P8XL540425 I can get it for less than $100 out the door , good deal ? Good axle ? I don't know if the driveshaft will need shortened ( currently have a Dana 35 ) in my 88 Comanche . I know there was a thread explaining this but can't find it . I know I'll have to weld perches and cut the XJ brackets off. Anyone need anything if I end up going ?
  11. No , that's pretty weak metal . Shouldn't have to use a torch .
  12. Big pair of channel locks will bend the bracket to gain access to the bolts . Then you can hammer/ dolly the frame flange straight . Take the vacuum canister for reference to a parts store and they should have the bolts readily available .

  16. The feed line seal kit is 83502745 , but the rail seal is the same as the injectors . It's $6 for a complete injector oring kit if you want spares . I would never use old orings , It could lead to this . After all the exhaust manifold is directly below the fuel rail .
  17. The connection at the FPR where it meets the rail uses the same O ring as the injectors use . It's more than likely where it's leaking .
  18. Isn't that a front hitch ?
