What's the significance of 12/16? The merger was official on October 12, 2014 with shares being traded under FCA the following day.

You could also ask how many quit school and go off to be thugs? You could, but I don't think you're going to find a very good source for statistics on that.

Yea, but how many of those that turn 18 go off to college instead?

Who has over 200,000 on a daily driver?
terrawombat replied to 88AMComanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I cycle through my daily drivers so that I can park each for an extended period of time to get a bunch of maintenance done as time permits. My DD carousel looks like this: 2004 Dodge Ram Diesel: 215K 2002 VW Golf TDI: 205K 2001 XJ: 200K 1992 MJ: 250K The only vehicle that I own under 200K is my motorcycle. Don't think I'd ever want to put 200K on that thing... -
Fiat, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler are the worst cars in America....again

Can you at least answer his questions? -
That 1990 with the D44 is absolutely gorgeous. Me want. Where in Maryland are you located? I'd consider selling my 92, but it's probably not what you're looking for. It also needs a slave cylinder and since it's an AX-15 with an internal slave I haven't really been motivated to do it...

I agree. When I saw this picture, my eyes were instantly drawn to it. Thanks for letting me know what the heck that thing is.

Do I get a care package with my donation?

Meh, it gets the job done.

Have little interest in wheeling myself, but I'd be down to watch everyone else give it a go while I sip on a beer....or 30.

Jeep Comanche - $500 (Gloucester, MA)

I alerted a couple MA residents about this. -
For whatever it's worth, in my opinion, 1999 was the best year for the Cherokee. My reasons: Unless it's a VERY late model 99, it does not have the 0331 head (known to crack) It still has a distributor. The coil packs on the 00/01 showed no appreciable gains and if one coil pack goes bad, you have to replace the whole thing (and new ones are not cheap) Many 00/01's came with pre-cats, which added 2 additional oxygen sensors for a total of 4. More stuff to go bad High pinion D30 in the front First year of the all-agate interior. No more two-tone ugliness of the 97 & 98 Painted fender flares on Sport models. The less unpainted black on an XJ, the better as it will just fade over time. Basically, to sum it up, in the 1999 XJ you get away from the interior/exterior ugliness of the 97 and 98's (Sport models only. The Upcountry and Limited models were quite nice) and you also stay away from the potential mechanical headaches of the 00/01.

Bet these would make a great addition to any MJ
terrawombat replied to relyt120's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Prefer crimp terminals myself. As long as you have the proper crimping tool for the larger gauge terminal lugs they'll never come undone. -
I think your best bet would be to find a used CJ/YJ shift knob. The one I bought is off of flea-bay and is a replica with a similar design to the OEM MJ knob I used to have. It's only a matter of time before it meets the same fate.

Update. Received a notice on my door yesterday when I got home from work around 8:30PM. Animal Control had stopped by around 3:15PM and needed me to contact them within 24 hours. Called immediately, office was closed, left a message. Called again first thing this morning, no answer, left another message. Received a phone call back from the Animal Control officer around 2:30PM. He informed me that an affidavit of complaint had been filed against me for a public nuisance, specifically for permitting an animal "to molest or intimidate pedestrians or passerby." It's a $250 fine and he needs to meet with me in person to deliver the citation. Okay. So I knew something was going to happen. I expected that. But this makes me angry. On the affidavit complaint there were a variety of violations listed and the complainant had to pick one. Some of those options included permitting an animal "to be repeatedly at large" or "to cause injury to a human being or another domestic animal by unprovoked biting," both of which are MUCH more applicable to the situation. Are either of them any less or worse than the violation I was charged with? Maybe, maybe not, but it doesn't matter. What matters to me is the blatant dishonesty in which the affidavit was completed. I guess I should have expected this considering the delusional mental state that the woman was in when she came to my home. The other thing that really irks me is what ever happened to being neighborly? I don't understand why the first reaction is to go straight to the authorities. Why couldn't this be handled in a more civil, man-to-man manner? I do not know what kind of weight this citation holds. Perhaps it's simply a fine and I go on with my life, but I have to believe that if a law enforcement agency, even if it is Animal Control, is issuing me a citation then there is some kind of record associated with this. It's like pulling teeth trying to get these sorts of questions answered over the phone. I am going to go down to the Sheriff's office/Animal Control tomorrow to see if I'm going to have to lawyer up. And as for the victimized dog, it is in good health, sustained no serious injuries and a visit to the vet was not needed.

No pics, but I just found out it has manual locks and windows. Not my unicorn. Oh well...
