  1. Assuming the eBay parts are built correctly, they should fit. Don't forget you also need the 97-01 fenders.
  2. <br />I don't see why not. Just make sure you put some sort of plug in the air line. You don't want water or dirt in there.
  3. You can install 4.10s on a 3 series carrier, if you use thick cut gears. This is how Jeep did it on the 3 series carriers. This will not work in the D30. http://comancheclub.com/topic/34433-gear-questions/ From out very own: A Rubicon locker is worth what that dealer is asking, if it is not broken. The Rubicon REAR carrier is a locker AND a limited slip. You get get the best of both worlds. However, they are not known for strength by folks to run locked all the time. However, I have not broke a rear rubi locker in my 03 rubi. To activate the locker, it is most simple to find a stock TJ Rubicon locker pump. When powered on, the pump will pump up to the desired 5psi to lock the locker and maintain that pressure. When you want to unlock, simply remove power the the air pump and it will bleed off the pressure. New TJ Rubicon locker pumps sell for about $150 last time I checked.
  4. Seems like a waste of $$$. Even if the gears are 4.10, very few shops will set up used gears. You would also need new bearings and seals. Not much value in the stock axle shafts or diff cover either. You can install 'thick' cut 4.10 gears on your 3.07 carrier. I will be installing a TJ Rubicon rear locker in my MJ when I get to that point in my build. The TJ Rubicon locker/carrier came with 'thick' cut 4.10's from the factory as it has the 3 series carrier.
  5. The more I learn about this Renegade, the more I like it. If these things would be priced $15-20k, I can see them selling like mad. One could even find its way to my driveway!
  6. I don't know. It looks a whole lot better than the KL, but I want to see exactly what kind of drive train it has before I judge it too much.
  7. Quality  If it would have been me, that breaker bar would have broke and that 4' piece of pipe would have whacked me across the face
  8. Nice choice with Clayton, neighbor. Once I saw this truck in town I was hoping the owner would find their way to Comanche Club. Nice to see you here. If you need any help, parts, want to go wheeling, or to simply talk Jeep shoot me a message, the names Brett.
  9. 87Warrior how far are you from Kansas City MO? I've been looking for a LWB bed liner and can't find one anywhere I am about 2 hrs west. Used to live in Overland Park and work in the Grandview/Lees Summit area. You are more than welcome to come pick up the liner or I would be happy to throw it in the truck when I come to KC to help a buddy work on his XJ. PM me if you want it or more information.
  10. The day before an ice and sleet storm, I found the MJ with a flat tire. Aired it up and hosed it down with soapy water and found air was leaking along 1/2 the bead. I am not sure what happened to the wheel or tire, but I needed to get the truck on the road. So I swapped the tires and wheels from my '92 to get me by. The truck took about 30 of cranking to fire up this morning at -10°.
  11. I've got one for a LWB you can have in Junction City, Kansas. Come n get it!
  12. Congratulations Chase! Hopefully I get to see this beauty in the flesh someday.
  13. I have been on the hunt for a gray 40/20/40 Dakota seat for over a year now. They are all trashed, crazy expensive or black. The hunt continues...
  14. The steering shaft will only fit one way. The bolt that holds the shaft to the steering box fits along a flattened spot. I have never noticed cured POR smelling, even when hot. Under coating and bed liner certainly do. You will need a quart to do the entire floor, at least 2 coats. Be sure to get a lot of Metal Ready (Metal Prep nowdays).
  15. You can only polish a turd so much...
  16. Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the love/hate Jeep relationship you will develop with it. Be sure to post lots of pictures. We like pictures
  17. 4wd swap. You won't know what kind of lift/tires you will need to accommodate your wheeling style until you actually get out and wheel. When you do the 4wd swap, replace the front coil springs with Moog V8 ZJ coils and the truck will look lifted.
  18. Spicer, IMHO.
  19. 90 YJ - AX15 locked up in 5th gear 30 miles from the house. Drove home in 4Lo. 03 TJ - Blew out a front brake line, in a college town, on game day, going down a hill. I down shifted to 2nd, at 45mph to get it slowed down. Took back roads home. 03 TJ - Front brake caliper froze up and hour from home. Pulled the caliper, shoved a chunk of wood between the pads and tied it up above the coil spring and drove home with one front brake 93 XJ - Water pump bearing went out, taking the belt with it. It took several hours to drive that last 10 miles home.
  20. You are not alone. I have never found Rock Auto to have a 'stellar' deal on parts. If I price Rock Auto (+shipping), and the cost is within 10% of what I can buy locally (+tax) , I buy locally. I am preparing to rebuild a D30 and will be pricing Rock Auto vs Napa/O Riley/Advance/Autozone. My guess is Rock Auto will loose out on some, or all of the parts, since they will probably ship from 5 different warehouses.
  21. That is 100% up to you and your opinions/taste. If you are not going to do a full repaint (engine bay, interior, etc) I would stick with the stock color.
  22. The stance looks very good to me! Any chance you could snap a picture of the front suspension/steering/etc like you did for the rear? My mind wants to see what kind of clearances there are.
  23. Made mine disappear yesterday. Batty is putting it nicely. Though, mine wasn't as distinguished. I enjoyed the breeze today.
  24. I have finished cutting, filling, and texturing the bezel. It hasn't been sprayed with Agate interior paint so it is flat black now. Stock bezel compared to the Modified bezel Fit in the truck. Yes, I know its not an RB1... The size/shape/mounts/connections are identical. I removed the RB1 so it wasn't damaged during my various test fittings. I also know the steering wheel is filthy and trashed, I have a replacement ready to go....
  25. Cross member bolts are M10x1.5
