  1. Did you use a gasket or rtv?

  3. Posi Loc http://4x4posi-lok.com/app_dodge.html . :MJ 1: .
  4. And if you put an HPD30 that has no cad....no you will not need it.....you can run it to your back bumper and hook it up to flip your plate down so you can speed through all the red light cameras in town
  5. It is a "posi-lock".....engages and dis-engages your front axle...follow the cable down to the passenger side front axle....it hooks up were the vaccum actuator used to be . :MJ 1: . +
  6. Just a thought but have you tested one of the slaves that you changed while it was out of the truck to see were it is "leaking" from? The reason I ask is having changed a few i have had a couple of instances were the leak was from the "o" ring at the connection point were the metal line goes into the slave. I determined that it was caused by the slight movement the line took when it twisted when it moved as the torque was applied to the drive train. On one i just adjusted the line to allow it to move more freely with the bell....the other i just put in a fatter o-ring.....just a thought . :MJ 2: .
  7. I have thought this myself but never tried it....i don't see why it would not work.....same principle......
  8. You will need a 36 mm socket.....and a 12 point 13 mm .....and fyi the bearings are nor serviceable
  9. Yes...why not google bleed clutch?....it is a simple thing...open the bleeder screw...have a helper press and hold the clutch....close the bleeder....repeat 3 or 4 times until you have a strong stream of clean fluid coming out....close and tighten the screw...try the clutch...
  10. Thanks FYI that last bit was a joke...not a shot....I just thought it was funny that the search brought up the original post. Maybe I should elaborate....I have a chance at changing my interior from call girl red to black....I would be willing to put in the work to change out the pad if it is not too much....I could paint mine but if I can keep it intact it can all go in the parts shed for future use...
  11. Tried to search......"dashboard removal".....all that comes up is your post.... :laughin: ......that is the greatest bit of self promotion I have ever seen....
  12. So if the pad is damaged.....you have to replace the whole dash and get a new vin???? Seems a bit extreme....
  13. I have swapped out gauges befor but never removed and replaced a dash pad. Any tips or tricks to make it quick and painless?
  14. You do not say what kind of tranny you have but with any,,,,,,did you check the switch on the trans?
  15. The intake and exhaust manifolds.
  16. I have 3 welders 2 110's and the same 220v 190 Miller you describe. They all have their purpose....but one thing that should be looked at (IMHO) is after sales service. The Miller was bought locally from a dealer ( a few years back) now I do not recall how much warranty I got with it but I do know that Millers policy (at least at this dealer) was if your machine had a problem (warranty or not) they would give you a loner (same model or better) that same day. So down time was never a problem. Now I have never had a single second of downtime with the Miller, but it was nice to know that was there for me. Oh....I paid a few Hun north of $1000 . :MJ 1: .
  17. Thanks My 151...... fire breathing cubic inch's of raw AMC power..... has no problem turning the pump......so for now it will get Zip tied out of the way
  18. 1987 MJ 2.5 What is the purpose of this plug that gets plugged into the rear of the power steering pump. Changed out my pump to one that was a direct bolt in ....but did not have a spot for the plug. Truck is running fine so I am just wondering what the plugs purpose was?
  19. It is the drivers side shaft that has to be trimmed (for the volvo diff)

    Mini Moke

Saw this little gem on the way out of the local “Refreshment store” 1965 Mini Moak http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini_Moke The Euro-Jeep That is about a 2010 F150 2WD in the background for reference. I had to laugh when I walked around and saw it had a hitch……what is he going to pull???

    Trailers, off-road

Here is a pic about 7 years old, I have built quite a few trailers over the years. Single 3500 lb axle 31" BFG AT on steel Jeep rims. Carried all we supplies and gear we needed for 10 days of fishing about 200 klicks from the closest human. If you look carefully you can see a "Baja" trail bike tucked in there as well. Still have the trailer and still running strong to this day....My only tip.....I add shocks to all the trailers it really helps keep your load on track on the rough trails. ( And if you can get a 5 x 4.5 axle so that like here you can run jeep tires so that spares are plentiful ....here we have 2)
  22. Can't really see from the pic .....but would it be the same size as the "plugs" used as drains in the floor pans?
