  1. My 87 MJ project is almost ready for inspection but my reverse lights are not working. I have tried many things for it to work including changing the bulbs, checked the wire for damages, and checked connections from the switch and at the sockets. I am lost. If someone could point me in a direction that would help I would really appreciate it.
  2. Well I need some help figuring out how to wire these running lights... I have a 1990 mj that I am about 90% done with a 97 swap just basically buttoning up all the small issues now. I have the drive train and dash with harnesses out of a 2001 xj I left my mj rear harness and have been plugging wires figuring out what goes to what and have narrowed the majority of it all down I have my stop lights reverse lights brake lights and turn signals but for the life of me I can’t seem to figure out how to wire these damn running lights from the 2001 dash harness to the rear mj harness I wish now I would have just ran the xj harness back I feel as if it would have been less headache but yet here I am I know the mj “running lights” are the blue wire on the oval connecter and the br/YL wire coming off the xj dash harness is the equivalent to the xjs running lights but how is it supposed to be wired I tried running it off of the drivers and pass her sides but it just keeps popping fuses I need help! Pics of the truck where it started and where I’m at!
  3. I am looking for factory interior lights. B pillar and if they made them roof liner. My jeep was basically bare when I obtained it. Thanks.
  4. I noticed a few days ago my brake lights have not been working for some reason. But I have taillights or running lights (whichever you prefer) and they are nice and bright. I have been over the sockets in the back before I had inspection a 6 months ago and cleaned them all up to make sure I was getting good connections. they worked really nice up until a few days ago. I only know they stopped working because I always check to make sure they work when I'm driving down the road. not sure why I do that but you never know what weird stuff happens in a Comanche. Anyway hopefully someone can point me in the right direction please. Thanks!
  5. Whenever my battery is connected, the battery and oil dash lights come on immediately without the key. After starting the vehicle they go off. This is pretty annoying as I have to disconnect the battery every time I turn off the truck. I've been slowly repairing small electrical issues/cleaning grounds, but none have fixed this yet. (They've been on since I bought the truck). Fuses are good, most dash lights and exterior lights work as normal. I have one other issue, when the headlights are on the right blinker arrow lights up too. No idea if it's related but thought I'd mention it. Has anyone had experience with this before? I searched and searched and haven't found anything yet. I guess I could always take the bulbs out :dunno:
  6. 1986 jeep comanche 4X4 2.4l engine my alternator light was on for months. one day i went to start it, nothing. i changed the alternator and motor craft solenoid. my husband had undone the negative cable from the solenoid to the battery. after i installed the alternator and solenoid i had not known my husband unplugged the negative cable (he did it when i was getting the parts), after i installed all the new equipment i turned on the light switch for the headlights and turned the key... nothing. i went to go check the cables and saw the negative to the solenoid unhooked, i hooked it up and tried again. still no start and no lights. i took the battery to the store to have it charged. i was told it was discharged. took it back and hooked everything back up. still no lights and no start. checked the starter by jumping it. the engine turned over yet would not stay on. i still have nothing when i turn the key and no brake lights or headlights? what is wrong and how can i fix it?
