  1. you don't want the headlight delay, aslo called sentinal. it pisses me off, and i couldn't figure out why my headlights stayed on when i went to pick up my mj. all that happens is if you turn the headlights off after the ignition is off the lights stay on for a little while. i don't like it. wiring is under the dash for fog lights though, but the wiring is not there at the headlight harness, not too hard to install if you want. i just did it and some guys on here helped me out.
  2. what did you call them? i know you couldn't have gotten an email back that fast
  3. i dunno..... a quality original replacement motor mount is gonna last as long as the originals, won't' fall apart for probably 90k or more. i just replaced my originals at 120k/ 19yrs, i just bought a quality replacement from car quest. not sure if moog makes a motor mount for it, but they are quality everytime. i think i paid around 35 bux each or so. but it is true about the poly, stay away from those.
  4. no you're right, he sucks :rotfl2:
  5. wow, i didn't realize how cool that is. even if its not the last, its one of them. last month, 4x4 eliminator, gotta be one of the last. very cool. i just sent jeep a request on my yj, i wanna know how close my project is to the beginning being an 87. i forgot production date, but its somewhere.
  6. you probably should've posted pics first :brows: are those door panels half grey to? if so maybe black with some grey inserts would look really good. or black out the whole interior, i love black interiors, have i said that yet? :clapping:
  7. good luck, sounds like you're doing good. hey, did you ever pin down that part number for the axle seal up front? i saw a post further up the page, but it sounded like you weren't sure.
  8. what rear axle is that? looked like a funny wheel, unless its just the pic.
  9. if your interior is black keep it that way, i love all black interior.
  10. simple......not a chance. the flange, and taper for the lug nuts are designed to work only one way. no lift and 33's??? :hmm:
  11. the idiots at autozone or wherever it was tested don't know what they're doing. i've heard way more bad alternators called good by those idiots than they've ever gotten right. if the light is on now, put a voltmeter on it, and test the output right at the alternator.
  12. you mean you liked them "reds"? :rotf: (kidding) even the flares were two tone. my wife thought i painted the red cuz it looks so much better now. it made the two reds ten times closer. kinda makes me want the whole truck to be black :hmm:
  13. holy crap, nice find man. ho and everything. gonna leave it alone as your daily driver? i doubt you will leave it alone very long. is that a long or short bed?
  14. is called "rust shield" and its made by a company called "sem" its awesome stuff, bites into anything, i've used it on my frame off build after doing a lot of research. i was referred to it by a local hot rod shop by my shop, and after asking around the local restorers love it. i bought it at the local auto paint supply shop. it comes in different colors, and you can buy a catalyst that makes it impervious to acids, oils, gas, brake fluid and so on. one gallon w/ catalyst was around 90 bux. if anyone ends up using it, give me a shout for some tips so you don't have to learn the hard way like i did, its easy to use, just a couple hints to mike life easier
  15. i wouldn't say promoting seniors in high school to drink that much beer is a good idea :smart: :dunno:
  16. i painted the fender flares black, and i painted/coated the rockers with the stuff i used on my yj frame and other pieces. i recomend this stuff to anyone, its like por 15 but better and cheaper in my opinion. anywho, i also put on a front bumper with the bumperettes in front and fog lights. the black flares and rockers really toned down the two tone from the po that did some body work but not all. before: after: this ole pig has come a long way since i got it last year or so.
  17. did you guys put a pet C#*@ of some sort, or drain for that garbage can cooler? i thought it was a built in garbage, which is a good idea though, don't pollute.
  18. i just sent him a message, when i get the link i'll post it up.
  19. :agree: i've never been disappointed.
  20. your welcome  i've had that marked for a while now. its good stuff. i stick with wix filters myself.
  21. i haven't really looked into it, but i've been changing the oil on a toyato suv a guy is using that on, i think it sucks and i'd never use it. just me thouh, i don't like the way his low mileage truck sounds now, and what the synthetic oil looks like at 6k when he changes it. i will never jump on that wagon.
  22. yepper, fun little spot but kinda like you said. its just cool seeing new stuff all the time.
