crap, no more cable, when will it be on the internet?

installed the front skid i scored at the junk yard and painted the bumper and grill real fast. did the map light mirror last week to.

i like it.

almost 50 50 xj/mj but i tend to drive the mj more, i like driving it and it gets a couple mpg better than the xj.

spicer u joints are the best way to go, they're o.e, and non greasable. o.e u joints usually last around 100k, no aftermarket joints last that long.

ya, aftermarket greasabel u joints are a pain in the front d shaft. the ones by the t case are not accessible in my xj, wish i never put them in but had no time to wait and track down non greasable. i remove the front shaft 2 times a year to grease it, thats about all you need to do. you don't really want to pump grease into u joints till it comes out, 1 to 3 spuirts is all you need.

don't give it up, most of us have been in this position. i had to sell my first jeep i built to pay bills, and when my family started. i wish i never did, after that i gave up after a few years and thought i'd never be able to get into jeeps again. it will be hard to keep it up for the next couple years, but now my boys are 3 and 6, i've got a couple projects, and my mj and xj, and i'm glad i was able to get back into it. i wish i still had my first yj. don't sell it, and in a few years you'll be all over it. worst case.

you'd be a fool not to. good plan if the filter doesn't fix it. if it doesn't fix it and you get it cheap, bring it over here, it can sit here for a short time and we can get it running good.

mine would not run more than a few minutes without the oxygen sensor, and it looks like the o2 sensor plug to me also.

yep, mine looks just like hornbrod's. great idea.

so when i was at the pnp i pulled two gm rear view mirros that had map lights built in. installed one in the mj and man is it cool. the pillar lights never work on mj's, so that just leaves the floor lights. now with these map lights the whole interior is lit. the lights come on with the door open, or by turning the headligth switch just like the floor lights. super simple, cheap and work great. the mirror was 2.50 ea. i put the other one in one of my yj's :banana:

that truck is too nice to read that mileage. its not that hard to fix the odo, if you were close i'd give ya a hand. i have wondered though if you can remove the odometer from your old cluster and swap it into the new cluster.

not sure but everything is pretty cheap, probably around 30 bux i'd imagine.

i like a level look also, but i'd leave the rear alone, and do a 2" budget boost in the front. the rear looks a little higher than normal to me, but measure first, looks like 2" lift in front woul work well.

i'm wondering if i should pull any instrument clusters, i know the mj had a full gauge cluster it was a 91, and i also saw a renix xj i got the switches from had a full cluster. anyone want these while they're hot?

yep, you can just swap it over. ya i called ya back like 3 times then just left the message. no biggy. and if your front axle has cv axles in it you should also swap over your u joint axles, they slide right in also. u joints are cheaper and can be replaced, cv boots leak and when the joint is shot you have to buy a whole new cv axle shaft.

did you guys find me any mirrors?

i couldn't tell, i haven't seen the trac loc, but i almost thought there was something behind the spiders, but i think its open, haven't really looked at it yet, just saw d44 wiped the drool and snagged it. the d44 was not light :shake: , and i guess all grands are aluminum d44.
