  1. the plug connector only goes on one way, there's a little notch in it. you should be able to look at the connector, and the pieces of the switch to figure out which side was comfort and power. worst case you wire it to comfort on your first try, then just wire it the other way. the center wire will be the signal, so if all else fails wire it to the black one, i think it is ground getting sent to the computer to keep it in power mode. if not, switch it.
  2. your steering wheel will change, but the actuall toe doesn't thats set by the tie rod link from left knuckle to right knuckle, doesn't change w/ height. the drag link adjustment does change, thus making your alignment off. jeeps are a little different than other vehicles when it comes to alignment having just one tie rod adjustment, then a drag link adjustment that centers the steering wheel. i did my 2" bb on my xj in the shop, aligned it a few weeks earlier, drove it on the rack when i was done and nothing changed, that i can't believe, but the readings were still dead nuts on, and it drove the same
  3. but the shipping weights don't show suspension parts is what they're saying, hasn't he recieved those parts. why would they block comunication....again.
  4. i personally like a level look, but i plan to tow and haul stuff in the bed so i'm gonna leave it alone. mine is a big ton 4x4 and a 2" budget boost in the front would make it sit level by my calculations, and i almost did it. a 2wd, or non big ton will be a little different. i'd say a 1" spacer or maybe a 1 1/2 inch spacer would do the trick. and if you do it and the front is a half inch higher or so, then you can put shackles on the back worst case.
  5. jeeze, some of what i'm hearing is amazing. how did you pay? credit card? contact the credit card company and have it charged back.
  6. ya all it is is a ground if i remember right, the middle wire should be the signal thats getting switched, wire the middle wire to the wire on the "power" selection side of the switch.
  7. luckily i work for indy shops, if i was at a dealer i'd refuse to do it.
  8. 2 wd leafs and also xj shackles are shorter i heard someone say.
  9. ya the dipstick in the pan is a pain. i can't remember if i unbolted the bolt on the trans that holds the upper part and just took the whole thing down w/ the dipstick all in one piece.
  10. have no fear in servicing the trans. it will not make it fail, it is better for it. i did the filter and gasket on mine, and then flushed it. 100% new fluid, and a new filter. new and clean is always better. it is basically a myth that servicing a trans is gonna destroy it. maybe back in the old days, but even upwards of 130k i've serviced trans w/ no problems. unless the trans is acting up. also the way i look at it, if its on its way out its on its way, servicing the fluid may help the condition, and if it hurts it, it was already acting up. the aw4 trans lasts forever so don't worry about it, service it up.
  11. heck ya he got my windshield, looks good to :clapping:
  12. ya, and we all know what they did with the fluids in ax5 and ax15 trans.
  13. thats what i call a productive trip. thanks again by the way, awesome deals.
  14. ^yep, thats right, i had to remove the oil filter and adapter housing. and it is easier on reassembly to start all the bolts before tightening any of them.
  15. thanks aemsee, as i said "chrysler will say atf+4" basically chrysler is trying to say that atf+4 will cover all preceeding trans fluids.
  16. good luck and congrats. my wife was induced for our first one, she was in labor for 34 hrs, and then had a c section  no epiderral till the c section, tough ole girl.
  17. sounds like pretty ok comunication to me.
  18. can you offer their screen name so maybe he can send a pm or get some resolution, thats a little rediculous. at least offer some comunication.
  19. chrysler will say atf+4 and that will work, but the aw4 did call for something else at that time to. at my shop we use valvoline max life atf, and it covers basically every american and japenese trans and most european, so if in doubt you can just go that route.
  20. Do you? Well, I would attach the files here but I don't think it will let you. Might be best just to sign up. naxja isn't free is it?
  21. gotta be a member to click the link?
  22. i remember being real po'd when i did them in my 90. if yours is a renix it isn't fun. i remember trying to sneak them out without taking a bunch of stuff apart, and it didnt' work. i had the head off at the time to. i think its the right side thats a pain. i think i had to unbolt the bracket from the engine, i tried to push that expereince far out of my head i think.
  23. man, broke the leaf, driveshaft, like you said, the axle practically came out of the truck. i hope the unibody isn't damaged.
  24. i say that opening bid is about all its worth. and its definately not worth shipping.
