I hit the lottery Suckers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dasbulliwagen replied to MiNi Beast's topic in The Pub
Never read it, but in Junior high school, I think 7th grade, they showed the movie version to us in english class. Messed Up stuff! That was probably back in 1985 or so? Theres no way they would show that anymore in schools today. -

I attempted to get my parking brake to work by adding sleeves to the main cable to take up for the longer rear axle cables that came with the 410 axle. It worked for a litlee while, but kept going loose after a few applications. I noticed that the cable where they go into the backing plates are collapsing on themselves...the outer sleeve that is. I guess its time for new cables. I also replaced my missing alternator bolt, put a new one in and then double nutted it. That should keep the alternator in place and the belt tight!

How did you come up with her name... it is very unique. My daughter, Ghia, was born Oct 21st last year..... they definitely change your life, thats why I offered you my condolences, because your life is over as you knew it. I know just about anyone would say its for the better, and I hope it is, but I still worry. I don't doubt mine or my wifes parenting abilities... my worries lie with the rest of the world and what effect it is going to have on her and us. I gotta stop watching the news....... :( IGNORANCE IS BLISS! :shake:

We just got back from vacation and I can't find my camera, so I won't be able to get pics of the new parts right away. But the more I see , the more I want to do this conversion. The header panel is even the right color already! Thanks guys! -

XJ Wagoneer grill Assy
dasbulliwagen replied to dasbulliwagen's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I was told that if I was going to do this, that I should do it quick, so Ive been working during lunch, pulled the grille, the chrome bumper, skid plates, chrome mirrors, visor clips, radio, clock, cig lighter, dual tone horns. It has 6 way power leather seats that are spotless and full center console. Oh by the way, it is a 1986 Wagoneer limited, with 2.8 V6, auto trans and 228 transfer case. It also has chrome door handles, but I don't think Ill be able to get them due to time constraints. RUST FREE!!! :( :( :( Untouched, unabused XJ going to be scrapped. Ill try to get pics later if I can. R.I.P. :( -
XJ Wagoneer grill Assy
dasbulliwagen replied to dasbulliwagen's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm not sure I completely like it either, but Ive always been curious to see how it would look. I know Ive seen it on here before, just thought it would give me an option if the price is right! -
Cash for clunkers claims another XJ, But gives me a chance to get a wagoneer grille. Does anyone know what all I will need from it to put it on my 87 2.5? I assume I just need the whole fiberglass header assy with all the headlights etc, but will it bolt to my 87 core support the same? Thanks for the help guys, Ill let you know when I get it, If I get it!

My dealer has yet to ruin any engines, but the dealer owner is wasting no time in securing good parts that he can sell used through the body shop. I'm talking truck bed, fenders, hoods, grilles, wheels, tires... Part of me wishes that doing that is illegal and that he'll get popped, but I think that is mostly because I aint gettting any of the cool parts. :???:

Do we have any pictures yet?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

What are your plans for it in the long run? Are you going to start a build thread or have you already and I just havent been there yet?

As a recent new father... You have my condolencees. :(

I was wrong! Evidently we taken in 3 XJ's, at least one of which is a real beauty! And the guy who traded it in is in the shop right now having his new Patriot :ack: fully accesorized! Freakin bastard anyways! We have yet to ruin the engines on any of our turn ins, but it is in the works. :( :( :(

92 2.5 Power Upgrades
dasbulliwagen replied to 9192comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
A company called Accelerated Motion has cam kits. They offer a range of cams depending on what you need. Website is http://www.amotion.com/ and apparently they are closed till april of next year! Sorry! Edit: Its been a while since Ive been to this site, and I no longer see the 4cyl cams listed, but I did write down the Part number back when I did find it. It is PN 04421-20710. Maybe they still have stuff? -
Ive been on vacation for a week, and just went out to look at death row, glad to see there arent any Jeeps out there...yet. :( But like was said earlier... there were a couple of really nice older vehicles that someone of need could really use. Its a real shame! I'm not sure yet what we are doing to kill them yet though, I'm sure Ill find out soon enough...

Ive always wondered if something like this would work, but always had enough sense in me to know any power gains would be negligible. Ive never actually seen anyone try it till now. And yeah, the boost pressure has to ba almost nothing, so why bother? They show a car making 10HP gain? Yeah right! How many of us here will notice the difference in power between 200hp and 210hp? I myself would be ashamed to let anyone know I had something like that under my hood. It brings to mind a racial stereotype followed by the word "rigging", but then again, it also looks like people with sunburned necks "engineering" :shake:

After seeing this thread, I looked too, but from what I can find, all the real stuff was removed, and anything you find now is malware...be careful!

Remove the cat, take a peice of pipe or something, knock out all of the guts, reinstall and youre done!

I can see how sometimes the ZJ would get confused with an XJ, at who knows how far away, to someone who is not as educated on the models as many of us here are. It was most likely a ZJ, but if it was an XJ, you need to get us pictures, maybe stop the guy and be friendly talking to him about what he has, and how he did it. Maybe tell him you can get him a free membership to Comanche Club for helping us out with some details for his project!
