car-part.com be sure to search for various years of AX-15 since insignificant changes can change the part number. be sure to get the bellhousing and anything else associated with the trans. you don't want to be scrounging around for all the little things.

are you still running the CAD in the front axle?

I would just bend that line a little closer. plenty of room there, just need a smaller radius on the bend. or you could throw some split wire loom over it as a sacrificial entity.

I've done it both entirely of pre-made lines and entirely with home-fabbed lines. Going with pre-made lines was pretty darn simple, you just have to plan well (and buy a couple of the shortest lines for the inevitable "juuuuust too-short" moments). and I didn't even bother trying to perfectly follow the factory lines. heck, I didn't even completely remove them. Just be sure that it's all secured well. vibrations and rubbing are the enemy. the big reason I went with home-fab the second time was because I was installing a newer double booster and it made it easier to adapt old to new fittings.

I think your title was a bit misleading. I moved it to Tech for you and expanded on the question. :thumbsup: should get more responses now. and almost all 4x4 MJs were command trac. only a handful of 86s were offered with selec trac (though rumor has it a few late models were made with selec trac).

just cause it's a good deal, doesn't mean it's necessarily a good idea.

I've tried fixing it and failed. now it's more or less a wait til I can find time to figure out while the change didn't take. :(

I vaguely remember being told that the bolt hole positions were different on 2 of the styles.

when I ordered my highoutput alt, they needed to know which case I had. there are at least 2 different styles and the mounting is different between to 2.
