did you check your alignment before or after?

4x4 coils were about an inch longer than 2wd (from the factory). MJ/XJ control arms were all the same. WJ lowers are better. :thumbsup:

I doubt you'll need the AALs. aftermarket MT packs will likely give you a boost in height over 20 year old stockers.

the longer shackles are only good for maybe an inch of lift. You need a shackle to be 2" longer than stock for each inch of lift and stock ones aren't exactly short. also keep in mind while shopping, XJ shackles are shorter than MJs and so ones designed to lift an XJ may not be much longer than your current ones.

the Grosse Ile airport is about 20 minutes away (and is small). Detroit Metro International Airport (definitely not small) is within a half hours drive. don't actually need many parts. mostly just need wrenching time. :wrench:

no, I completely got distracted by the winch and forgot to grab the vin. :( Are you sure about that? The only references I've ever seen were for 5000 pounds or 6000 pounds. got the numbers from the 86 accessories brochure. :dunno: I'll get that info when I get back home.

your bracket seems to be in the same spot, but looks a bit longer on the bumper leg.

it's designed for bone stock rigs. also, it's made by amc. the stuff they built was either bulletproof, or it might kill you. :dunno: I can see the little brackets on the front of your bumper in the brochure photo of the brush guard. same location anyway, though they look slightly different in the photo. I'll post the pic tomorrow. also, this is the 6k lightweight model. there was also an 8k version.

it's only a 6k winch.

nah, there are a handful of others out there. but they are rare enough that it's the only one I've ever seen with my own eyes. :yes:

I would never try to repair those ancient lines. running brand new ones isn't all that hard. especially if you don't even try to perfectly match the stock bends. :D
