  1. we've got the 5 spoke aluminum on our libby.
  2. found 245/75/16 is popular: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?skipOver=true&width=245%2F&ratio=75&diameter=16
  3. I love the winterforce tires I have on the van  (cheap as heck and stud-able too). but then I kinda figure that all snow tires will be awesome. :dunno: you just need to find the tallest one that's also stub-able. tirerack might be of help. I bought mine through them.
  4. personally I'd be willing to pay up to $300 for an MJ dana 44 in good shape and with the ratio I needed. $150 for anything else. but if the only broken part is your spider gears, it's super cheap and fairly easy to get junkyard ones and swap them in. Just don't spend much on that axle because if there is an underlying cause for the breakage, it can happen again.
  5. either you walk in to the front desk and tell them what you're looking for and they go get it (for normal junkyards), or you walk in and pull the part yourself (for pull a part style yards). be prepared that a normal yard may not want to split up an axle if they think they can sell it whole. try pull-a-part.com or lkqselfserve.com to see if they have a yard near you. and there are lots more pull your part style junkyards out there. those 2 are just a couple of the biggest chains.
  6. junkyard, junkyard, junkyard. I cannot emphasize enough how worthless these axles can be when they start failing. brand new spider gears will not benefit any more than 5 bucks of junkyard gears.
  7. welcome to the club! personally, I'd pull that spacer until I was ready to lift it to it's final height. without longer control arms and a longer track bar, you'll never get a good alignment at 3.5". and the parts you'll need at 3.5" are most likely not what you need at 5"+, so you'll be saving money by doing it right just once.
  8. that was the theory, yes. turns out the amount of gas and wear is so small as to be unmeasureable and Jeep thankfully ditched the stupid design in the early 90s. :shake: the only thing you'll notice is if you've got a bad front driveshaft ujoint.
  9. please, please, pleeeeeeease don't spend much on a Dana 35. they are a WEAK axle and not worth the money. changing ring/pinion gears is not as straight-forward as you might hope. spider gears are pretty easy.
  10. all I can offer is that the cheap covers don't keep out dust or rain 100%. :( It's worth it for the better ones.
  11. :rotfl2:
  12. got my reply today:
  13. dragging my finger across that little pad seems to affect said finger in a negative way. after a short while the tip of my index goes tingly and then numb. same with smart phones. apparently I didn't get the best genes in the world... :dunno:
  14. if you own a 2.5, always always always grab 2.5 injectors if you see them at the 'yard
  15. I don't see a button on the reciever. . . :(
  16. the more you spend on shocks, the better they are.
  17. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
  18. smiles, friends, knowledge, confidence, noteriety, memories, more comanches... and an uneasy relationship with my city... :rotf:

  24. under 5 bucks shipped. might be the same mouse. :D and yes, the batteries check out as good.
  25. bought a cheap-as-hell wirelless mouse off ebay and shipped from china. the driver seems to have loaded properly, but all the mouse does is blick once or twice when I turn it on. then nothing. No paperwork to check, no part number to look up. got what I paid for I guess. ideas? I've sent an email to the seller, but lord only knows how good their english will be. :dunno:
