I also had my 2wd shaft shortened. they just cut the non-rubber end.

just to add this to the mix, but I avoided my rockers altogether (they are just rust anyways) and tied my sliders into the frame by going through the frame and welding to both sides. I don't think I could bring myself to cut or drill into rust-free rockers. :( protect them, don't wreck them

just because they might like to harass the punk kids for being punk kids doesn't mean they aren't professionals that take their job seriously. I know they would LOVE to get their hands on that guy. that's INSANELY dangerous :eek: I kinda like the idea of clearcoating them... :brows: make sure you properly clean the surface and paint the inside too.

scary stuff for sure. :eek: got a fire extinguisher in there? I once had an aftermarket alternator short out and the juice running through the big aftermarket cables was enough to set the cable insulation on fire. :(

very different.

XJ packs are very different than MJ packs. shorter and much less arch. you'll need to use the MJ main and overload, but the ones in the middle can be mixed and matched to get the height you want. I'm a fan of 2wd MJ packs with an extra main (with the eyes cut off) from a donor pack thrown in as a new second.

I had high-end speakers (5.25s/tweets/6x9s in little boxes/8" woofer) fed by some fairly powerful amps back in the day, but I never needed any more than an 8" woofer to thump your kidneys into dust. :D even a cheap little woofer will do wonders for your sound.

while we're on the subject, this is what happens when you slap an XJ axle under an MJ without moving the perches:

the 93 XJ shouldn't have an external slave AX-15. :dunno:
