  1. you MUST get whatever you use to be applied INSIDE the rockers, the doors, the frame, inside everything. our trucks rot from the inside-out.
  2. it is true that Jeep put steelies under the MTs, but I've seen plenty of guys overload their MJs over the years and haven't yet heard of someone hurting their alloys.
  3. yeah, I'd rock that.
  4. now is the time to change it. once you put the rest of the frontend on it becomes a real pain in the butt!
  5. MJ frames are crazy strong. we share almost nothing with XJ frames.
  6. what I'm saying is that our trucks rot from the inside-out. especially northern rigs. I bed-lined my rockers many moons ago and the steel behind the plastic is literally gone now. rotted away to dust. the plastic is still there though. just don't touch it and you might never know.
  7. yeah, that's what the cables coming out of the 88 I'm working on looked like. scary! also, nice player.
  8. spoken like a true southerner that hasn't had to deal with rot behind said liner.
  9. what has gone wrong with the current engine? what are your end goals for the truck? what's your budget looking like?
  10. it's fairly easy on my laptop, less so on the phone.
  11. it has to do with the way your camera saves the orientation of the image. it was once explained to me and all I can remember is... it's complicated. I find I have decent luck rotating the image, rotating it back, re-saving, and then uploading.
  12. according to FB I saw this bad boy 7 years ago
  13. my CRD Liberty and my old 97 Town and country both got well over 200k. not very impressive by MJ standards.
  14. this thingie? https://www.ebay.com/itm/256233452239
  15. hardware stores will have various clamping options for ya.
  16. what has gone wrong with the current engine? what are your end goals for the truck? what's your budget looking like?
  17. holy crap, I remember that commercial!
  18. new deal on beds. local delivery still available, but I can't make any long trips north at this time due to my dad's health.
  19. old trucks have their own time schedules. but in all seriousness, those are all items that should have been replaced a while ago.
  20. interesting. I've never heard of the paper guide.
  21. 35 year old trucks are like that. always wanting all the attention.

bought some cheap drill bits with the hex shank. now I can have a couple in my junkyard bag to drill out random rivets without needing a drill.
  23. my buddy bought the cheapest one he could find and that (plus disconnecting the battery) has meant it was ready to go months later. even a low output one should be able to overcome the battery's natural drain rate.
