  1. it's important to have a spare truck around
  2. my last dog would bark at you, but then scurry away if you actually approached her. she was such a scaredy cat.
  3. fresh off the internet. the car was fleeing police and hit the pole. the engine continued on and burst through the front door of a guy's apartment. funniest comment wins! "shut the door! you're letting the AC out!"
  4. honestly I wonder if they even tried. I know they were super short on money and it certainly would have been cheaper to put that giant X in the brochure.

  18. An upholstery shop can do repairs too! I would seek one out with Google maps and see what they think.
  19. yup, as Eagle said, if the high mileage is what concerns you, MJ engines are known to hit 300k+ if properly cared for. the problems usually come from abuse, neglect, or the various sensors and other moving parts failing (which can happen to any engine). Having a relaible engine means being proactive. Don't wait for the radiator and hoses to pop, if it looks nasty, replace it now. that sort of thing. I would recommend starting with Cruiser's MJ tips. They cover all of the weak points we've found in the wiring and such. should be one of the first links in the link in my signature.
  20. there are writeups about a couple different choices in the link in my sig.
  21. I was just thinking that. why don't you start a new one with the title asking for all videos that way there will be 2 of us that can alter the lead post to gather them all together in one spot.
  22. all depends on what you want in the end and how much money/effort you're looking to get in to. we need more info about what you have and what you want.
  23. can't find it in my 87-90 parts manual... hmmm....
  24. the big debate is whether the early 231s are exactly the same inside as later 231s. someone somewhere has pulled one apart! just need to find that person anyone want to sift through a bunch of youtube vids?
