    plenty of guys have added protection that goes from the bumper towards the tire as sort of a continuation of the rocker guards. pretty sure there's a company that makes them. Dirtbound maybe?

    never doubted that. but I was in no hurry. plenty of projects ahead of selling clocks.

    dragged home a brown one yesterday. plus some other fantastic booty including carpets, rockers, tweeters, rollbar brackets, a 91 clock pigtail (been looking for one for a long time now), and (drum roll please) an XJ passenger power seat!

    failed miserably. spent all my efforts on the MJ and ran out of time to travel over to the other half of the junkyard across the street where all the cars/minivans are. but I'll keep it in mind for the next yard

    rusty trucks need lovin' too! just cut out the bad steel and weld in the good steel. easy-peasy then get an 242 and go nuts all winter.

    he's in TX. if you want a clean bed, be prepared to travel. I just brought home another shortbed. not sure when I can next get out to TX. is it in a junkyard or someone's backyard?

    just armor up the rear flank. heck, simply ditching the stock bumper for a good aftermarket will improve things considerably.
