  1. It's an MJ. you've always had a really cool truck. now you have a much taller really cool truck.
  2. are you posing for a magazine cover? lockers and driving skill are far more important than flex. that extra couple inches of flex means nothing in the real world. also, distance traveled measured at the tire will be more than distance traveled measured at the shocks.
  3. RIP Charlie

    Taylor wins!!!
  5. not that it was my choice in the first place (stupid AT+T!!), but I sacrificed super tough (and cheap to replace), for a completely modern software in an even tinier package. the phone model is only a few months old. as you can see, it is small. as in 3 3/4" tall with the case on it. talk to text and google assistant have made the tiny keyboard more or less irrelevant. I don't watch vids on my phone, like ever, so that's irrelevant. although it will easily play them if I'm super bored somewhere. but other than that it's uber modern and the battery will last for days. and, if I ever need the big screen for something, I can slap the SIM into my S7 Active in under a minute. am I happy that ATT forced me to give up my old Rugby Pro? nope. still hate them for it. but this new li'l guy makes me smile, so I'll get by.
  6. pick up one of the rear tires until it gets to where your new bumpstop extension will stop the up travel. front should be simply ordering a shock for an MJ/XJ with X amount of lift.
  7. I kinda want to know the details...

holy crap! I've been in GA way too long and didn't realize Taylor was in it! woo-hoo!!
  9. literally no clue on that one. in this crazy economy you gotta call around to see who has what in stock. and make sure they are in stock, meaning on a shelf in that building before ordering.
  10. yup, a little heat can go a long way. just take care with that flame, as brake fluid is indeed flammable.

how are my Louisiana peeps doing? you've all run inland, yes? maybe found a nice, quiet hotel in north dakota?
  12. if I didn't need the money right this second, I would hang on to it.
  13. note the bends in your track bar. if your steering arm had some minor tweaks to it (not even as extreme as the track bar), the angle of the heim joints wouldn't be as extreme. is that heim joint bolt in the pitman arm taped to fit the arm, or did you need to drill it out?
  14. I love a white MJ. only the best designs still look good in white. as you go, remember that you don't have to cover every inch in dynamat, it's really just the big expanses of sheetmetal (doors, roof, rear wall, inside the b-pillars etc ) that could really use some deadening material slapped on them to control the vibrations.
  15. agreed
  16. oh, and don't feel pressured to match the factory routing. run it in a safe location and be done with it for now. you can always revisit it later.
  17. if it helps at all, they are the same as the bucket floor brackets. check the classifieds/vendors section for Krustyballer's post to see if he still have some that he makes.
  18. I speak from complete ignorance about the state of TJ electrical systems, but there's no way I wouldn't just swap it all. why risk it?
  19. do any of the threads in the link in my sig say?
  20. yup, that block comes with the replacement hose. lots of trucks use a similar thing though if you can't find an MJ. they are usually used because they are longer to accommodate a lift.
  21. I'd get rid of the prop altogether and run new line all the way from the front with either a T up front or a plug for the emergency line. the link in my signature has some alternatives for deleting the rear prop valve. you can either do it with bulk line and a flaring tool (although the cheap flare tools suuuuuck), or you can buy lengths of pre-flared line and just connect them all together (make extra sure that all the ends are correct and matching). I've done it both ways. by "three way fitting", are you referring to the axle side with the integrated vent line? or the upper where it merges with the propped line and the emergency line?
  22. finally wired in my 2nd power outlet. now I have one that is switched power, and one that is constant power.
  23. are the pre-C-clip years different than the C-clip years?
  24. nice! that countertop is gorgeous!
  25. are those apple files? I cannot see them.
