  1. Your bro needs to check his alignment or his air pressure or switch to a different tire. 10.5s on a 7inch should work just fine. 12.5s on an 8inch should also work just fine. Both require that you figure out the ideal tire pressure for your specific tire/wheel combo and truck weight, but they should work just fine.
  2. 210 is where it's supposed to be. What does the bottom of the radiator look like? All the bad rads I've delt with were bad enough to look like crap at the bottom, i.e. missing or damaged fins, lots of corrosion, etc.
  3. With Jeep there always seems to be exceptions to the rules. For what it's worth, every single slider window visible in all of my dealership brochures are 3-piece. Both four-piece windows I have are aftermarket.
  4. For what its worth, car-part.com shows the CAD available through 93. :dunno:
  5. Posi was an option so you'll have to check. What engine is it? Auto or manual trans? What size tires do you have?

Is that a compression problem or something? Even I can hold 55 up a grade! Well, the gutless issue was compounded by the extremely high elevation and the extra weight of all the gear I was hauling across the country. :teehee: But regardless, I don't know what the problem is yet. :hmm: Ever since the build-up she's been gutless at high RPM or high speed. Compression was ok, but she spews blow-by like nothing I've ever seen. If that's not the cause, my thoughts were that sitting for 2 years caused problems in the fuel system. It's actually rather embarrassing since I've helped countless Jeepers with their rigs and I still haven't diagnosed my own baby. :( But there were always bigger fish to fry, and as long as it still ran, I was willing to let it slide. It's not like it's my daily driver or anything and it still wheels great. Lots of power at low speed/low RPM. :dunno: I've even got a complete spare gas tank and a spare 4.0L block to swap in if it ever comes to that. First things first though. I've got a half-finished MJ in the garage and a broken minivan in the driveway. :(
  7. I think I count 9 confirmed MJs. Hard to tell what's in the next row over facing the camera. Most are likely XJs.
  8. Cabz, I would try swapping the coils left to right. I had an inch of difference in the rear of my 88 when I was bulding it and I swapped the leaf packs. Ended up not changin' a darn thing so I left it alone. CW, I realize it's a different set-up, but I've never had any issues with the overloads affecting my uptravel (my shocks on the otherhand...). I can't say whether or not springwrap is causing your particular leafs to sag CW (they might just be settling), but 'wrap can cause leafs to sag and the overload will go a long way to help control 'wrap.

That's the 88 though. I know it'll do 70 on a downhill slope with a tail wind (just takes forever to get there). :D Up hill through Colorado was a different story though. At the apex of a couple of the long passes I was doing 35mph (in a 75) and struggling to maintain it.
  10. Swapping in just the block would be easiest.
  11. Out of curiosity, what would these mods do? Or do you just mean that someone should be put in charge of organizing runs or something like that?

For the record, I'm not entirely certain my 86 can even do 60 anymore these days. :D
  13. If the silver minivan is in the driveway or in front of the house, chances are that I'm home. :D Knock on the front door (we don't use the side door). I won't be home much tomorrow (helping someone move :( ).
  14. A/C condenser? :hmm:
  15. Modifying the odometer is technically illegal, but I've read you can take it to a shop and they'll fill out the paperwork to keep it on the up and up.
  16. Prices are by donation. Send as much as you like or as much as you can afford. It's all the same to me as I'm not trying to run any sort of business, only to provide the means for members to show pride in their site and help out with the bills. Send me a PM with your address and a list of what you'd like and I can probably have it in the mail tomorrow. I have plenty white ones. :D
  17. I've got a few decals in red if anyone wants them. I don't advise putting them on a red truck. It's kinda a bright red and will likely clash with any factory paint. :shake:
  18. Uh, can you snap a pic of it next to a quarter or something? How big is the box? It's not a tailgate is it?
  19. What tires/gears ya got now? Depending on what is under the truck now, I would find a cheap pair of junkyard axles with better gears. :D
  20. So maybe a northeast, southeast, midwest, northwest, southwest, and central? You guys realize we have a wheeling forum for arranging get-togethers right? I hesitate making the forums a huge complicated place. Some sites I've seen have like 30+ different forums broken down to types of engines or individual States. But if there really is demand for it, I guess I could.
  21. CPS goes on the bellhousing, TPS (throttle position sensor) goes on the throttle body.
  22. Cutting it up isn't as hard as it sounds. An XJ has gotta be even easier than that Bronco I sliced and diced. Plus it's kinda fun. :D
  23. I've never had that particular dilemma. :D When I built the 88, it was broken. When I bought the 90 to build, it was broken. And the 88 is broken again and that's likely to not change when I get around to rebuilding it later this year.
  24. From the look of the side rubber trim, it appears to be a Laredo.
