  1. Fuel injection + solid front axle = Name me another small truck that had that. What's that? The 1985 Toyota pickup? You'd be correct. Too bad the 85 'yota didn't offer a 6 cylinder engine. :clapping:
  2. Satellite radio is awesome. :D We've got Sirius in the Liberty. I'll never go back to terrestrial radio.

    Club T-shirts?

I see something called "dark heather"... :dunno:
  4. The new logo decals are finally in my hands! Send me a PM if you want one. Include your name and address and whether you are using Paypal or sending something through snail mail. I'll then reply with my info and mail it out next chance I get. Due to what it took to get these done, the suggested donation is $10 for one, $15 for 2. This is just a suggestion. If you ain't got it, don't worry. It's far more important to me to get club swag to those who want it than anything else.
  5. Any XJ can get the DBs. It's curable. If that's what is wrong with your current rig, fixing it will likely be cheaper than trying to start over.

    Club T-shirts?

Ok, so say that hypothetically we were to put together some Club T-shirts. What colors would you guys be looking for? I was thinking a tan, olive, black, and white but don't know what you guys/gals would actually want.
  7. I seem to remember reading that the newer XJs don't even have that vacuum actuated switch.
  8. advanceadapters.com has lots of v8 conversion parts.
  9. Even if it looks funny next to the headlight door? :D Yes. :D
  10. Cool. :D Do you have any photos showing the details? What are the specs?
  11. It's been a long day. What he said.
  12. Tell me about it. My 88 was gasping for air on those mountain passes. :(
  13. The AMC-20 that's under MJs is one tough cookie. You should be fine. :D Have you camper guys considered converting to the dual brake booster setup?
  14. don't' forget to highlight the picture addresses and click the IMG tag above the text box. Otherwise your pictures won't show up. (I fixed the post for you this time)
  15. All MJs had the CAD (except for a few rare 86s).
  16. I tend to avoid things like; fresh paint, lifted 4x4s, altered drivelines, etc. In other words, the stocker the better.
  17. Some of us like our grilles upside down. :D
  18. Oh good. :D We can check "no fluid" off the list of possibly problems. The clocking differences should be in the transmission, so the t-cases would be swappable. But the input spline count of the YJ case should be 21, so be prepared.
  19. The still-non-functioning addy is rmontie@comcast.net
  20. After removing the rear driveshaft you did plug or cap the back of the t-case, yes?
  21. Do you have contact info for an admin? I just need someone to send a new password for "Pete M" to petermontie@hotmail.com
  22. Feel free to post up anything you'd like in the Pub. While I agree that the forum should stay MJ-oriented, that doesn't mean that the members wouldn't love to see other projects. Just post it up in the Pub.
  23. advanceadapters.com has a lot of v8 conversion stuff.
  24. Yes I'm still locked out. But not necessarily for the same reason this all started. I don't know what caused it in the first place, but even if that was just a glitch, now I've asked for a new password, and that email goes to my Comcast email addy, and my Comcast email addy is not working (Comcast has assured me the problem is being addressed). So if nothing was actually wrong in the first place, now I'm in limbo because the forum software would be sending automated emails to a dead email address. :shake: But if all of this had happened to someone here, I would have simply given them a temp password and we could all have gone on with life. :pcwhack:
  25. The axle is centered by the track bar. And on a stock truck, that isn't adjustable. If the axle is indeed off-center, then something might be wrong. If you're only lifting 1 or 2 inches, you can get away with a stock bar (assuming yours is in good shape).
