No gods here, just a bunch of addicts trying to spread the MJ disease. :D What you should buy to convert depends largely on what you're starting with and what you want in the end. If you buy that truck we've got half the equation, what are you looking to get out of your truck in the future? Daily driver? Trail truck? Mud monster? Take a small magnet with you to check for bondo under that fresh paint (above the rear flares, the rockers, etc). And find out who painted it and how much it was. A cheap paint job can hide lots of flaws that could crop up in as little as a year.

I speak of a tire alignment. As you raise up the truck, the steering linkages pull the tires together and they will need to be lengthened to get your tire alignment back to speck. Is your steering wheel straight with the tires pointed straight?

Did you align the steering after lifting?

tried ebay? Keep in mind that long and short bed MJs use different tanks too. Get the 23.5 gallon for a longbed (a 13 was also avaiable but who wants 13 gals?), and an 18 gal for the short.

Keeping the tires on the smallish side will help keep the engine in its power band (meaning that if you added bigger tires, the engine will seem more sluggish). On a 92 2.5, you might want to look into a 4.0L throttle body swap. I think your engine is new enough to be able to do that. Maybe bigger fuel injectors would help. Also, make sure there's nothing wrong with your truck, like a bad air or fuel filter, or a clogged cat.

Not without a lot of custom fabrication. They are different shapes.

A little. :D But it was easy to pry it back with the hi-lift handle. It's a ford front axle and the factory tie-rod is solid and I'm far less worried about weakening it as I would be with an MJ unit..

There are three basic ways to corrent the control arm gemoetry in our trucks using aftermarket parts: long arms, short arms, and drop brackets (which generally are designed to re-use stock length arms). 6" is about the limit for short arms. Drop brackets are not "necessary" to get 6" of lift, but they will improve the ride due to the better geometry of the arms. But then there's the argument of the brackets hanging up on obstacles. Some hate DBs and some like them, but short arms for sure won't hang down like the drop brackets. Every kit design has pluses and minuses.
