  1. adjustable arms are probably overkill. for 3" I'd probably do solid lowers and skip on uppers.
  2. do you just need the name of the paint color? I could probably get that from your year and appx color using the dealership brochures.
  3. or did everyone get washed away? :( Last I heard my parent's place was still there (they are on the edge of a floodplain).
  4. or maybe a front U-joint. :dunno:
  5. I have altered the rules to include "no trolling of controversial topics". since this one was started as such, I'm locking it.
  6. which is why being owner sucks. No matter what I do I end up alienating one group or another and people get mad at me. :( The issue of freedom/censorship is real powderkeg. So I'm altering the rules a bit. No trolling of controversial topics. If you have a specific question or something happens in world events, fine. but no repeats of this episode.
  7. factory bars do not easily change from one bed to the other. If it was aftermarket, that'd be different. And for clarification, that bar is said to mount to the front of the wheelwell. aftermarket bars mount directly on top.

    Want:

    very nice. :D
  9. I'll be driving down to Loganville (30052) next monday (28th) and will be there for a week and change. If anyone wants to gather at the house for a meet-n-greet, start throwing out dates.
  10. is it a factory unit that mounts to the forward angled edge of the wheelwell? or an aftermarket unit that mounts to the top of the wheelwell?
  11. tru dat. but that's only because the buck has to stop somewhere. this is your club afterall.
  12. that's part of the issue. some members want this, some want that, I try to find a balance in the middle. :peek:
  13. this thread I fear more than the other.
  14. Maybe because this club is more family-like than other random forums? :dunno: I'm betting that most of the guys that posted in the thread wouldn't necessarily seek out a religious-type forum on their own. I know I certainly wouldn't have taken part in that naxja thread. :ack:
  15. you might want to put your tech questions in the tech forum so more people will see it.
  16. You might want to put your tech questions in the tech forum so more people will see them.
  17. oh wow. 11 pages. and most of it is just various people trying hard to push each others' buttons. :fool: I think we'll be ok. :D The maturity level is better here. But I tell ya what, if the voters want it killed, I'll lock it up. :dunno:
  18. So... we're better than naxja? :D Imagunna check out that naxja thread.
  19. Glad you could get a day off there Rick.
  20. because evolution is the "theory of evolution", and creationism generally refers to the story in Genesis. Anything in between will likely be frowned upon by both sides.
  21. Lions are coming along nicely. :D
  22. Yes, the seat should be useable, but if you have buckets now, you'll need the sliders from an MJ or XJ to mate the seat to the MJ bench floor brackets.
  23. For a 3" kit: I would go with swaybar disconnect links rather than drop brackets (more useful and you don't risk snapping off the sway bar bushing bolts), but one or the other is recommended to keep the bar from rubbing on the coils. definitely get the lower control arms. YJ brake hoses are longer for the front and a 95 Dakota line for the rear (they are long enough for both kits). I would look into a quality adjustable trackbar, even for a 3" kit.
  24. It'd be a tight fit for sure and require custom work, but probably possible.
  25. and if it does go nuclear, then it will go away. according to the rules: I'm not here to be "big brother", all I'm looking for is that the members handle themselves in an adult manner. the fact that many of you voice your opposition will likely keep topics like this at bay. So maybe take a break from worrying about what might happen, and take a moment to have some pride in your club that nothing did happen.
