any auto parts store chain. mine had them in stock.
  2. looking from the bottom or from the top? don't forget to frequently wash the inside of the bedside above the rear flares.
  3. I swear I saw a round LED taillight with built-in reverse in one of my 4x4 magazines not too long ago. I'll post up if I find the dang thing.
  4. even if it's possible to remove the CV, the driveshaft will be way too short afterwards.
  5. got my brochures today. photos should be up tomorrow. :D
  6. I have an "open" rad with the cap in my 88 and I kept the closed system so it physically fits just fine.
  7. not yet. seen pictures. only one of my MJs still has a CAD and I sorta borrowed that one's 4x4 shifter for the 88. :shake:
  8. It's been done. :D
  9. tru dat. The backup plan would be a hose clamp on the axleshaft holding the collar over. :D
  10. It's simple enough to lock the CAD permanently and eliminate it from the equation. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18415
  11. sweet! :clapping: didja pull the carpet up yet?
  12. what did the front driveshaft come from? the same XJ that donated the axles?

    how 'bout now?
  14. that's a clean MJ if there ever was one. nice score! :D
  15. cheap MJ. needs interior. http://myrtlebeach.craigslist.org/cto/1539846319.html
  16. it's all "fixable". cut out bad stuff - weld in good stuff. Since you won't be doing the work, the question becomes more of a "can I find someone that's willing to do it". Got any welding friends in your new neck of the woods yet? :brows:

in case you didn't realize, the CJ bushing is a $2 part.
  18. bumpstop choices are more dependent on your tire size and wheel choice than your outright lift amount. what tires/wheels are you running?

ship? this in the internet age. they prefer emails. :D
  20. sweet. I look forward to it.
  21. his has little tires on it. just a DD. after the first one went he got another 44a from the junkyard. nope. it was also shot. If I remember right he returned it for, gasp, a Dana 35. :( but the 44a centersection is used in vettes and vipers, so I don't know what the reason is for the Jeep failures (rob's ZJ isn't the only one). :dunno:
  22. Rob (automan) might disagree that that is the only drawback. He's gone through 2 of them so far on his ZJ. :( the bearings give up too easily.

well, we should do it all on the same day. probably a weekend so they get to work and find a whole bunch of MJs in their inbox. :D
  24. I would drop that back end asap.
