    new tires

with a proper alignment and frequent rotations a quality mud tire should wear just fine. they just need a bit more attention.

gotcha. there are some small differences in 87, but I didn't think they'd be a deal killer for ya. :D
  3. Not a big fan of fine art? :dunno:

    new tires

all-terrains and mud don't mix well.
  5. I thought his was a dr side too.
  6. you do know you own the second NOS bedside I've ever heard of since these trucks were still under warranty, right? :D
  7. So would I. :D so I can keep it from becoming just another bedside on a truck. of course, I'd need money to do that, so I'll just file it under 'f' for fantasy garage decor. :(

no love for the 87s? :(
  9. someone a while back came up with a triangulated upper that was only like half an upper.
  10. got the new-to-me exhaust "installed" on the 90. then puttered it out of the garage and back to its parking spot across the street. hopefully I'll have some photos for y'all tomorrow when the sun pops back up.
  11. hopefully it'll get you out of the hole you fell in before the cops show up. :D
  12. found a way to work around the gas tank?
  13. buy a winch. if only to help avoid the trespassing tickets you'll get. :D I had a buddy that liked to do that in his bronco. those were some fun recoveries. :shake:
  14. never heard of it before. I did find this though: http://www.alliedbearings.com/mfg_prod/ ... %20CAT.pdf
  15. Holy car fire batman! I'm adding you to the list of individuals who are never allowed to ask me why I don't let other people touch my trucks. ever. :typing: I do hope you learned a valuable lesson about trusting "professionals" with your babys.
  16. doubtful. the XJ's floor is much flatter. :dunno: but I guess anything is possible with enough fabbing. Keep in mind that the MJ bench seat floor brackets are identical to MJ bucket's floor brackets.
  17. you mean the floor bracket?
  18. fuel mileage is overrated. or maybe I should put it as knowing your fuel mileage is overrated. :D knowing those numbers doesn't affect how I drive or what I drive. I guess if the numbers start dropping off it might show that there's a problem, but there are other indicators of a bad o2 sensor or fuel leak or clogged cat. :dunno:
  19. It's sorta important to keep CCV and PCV straight since the 4.0 has a CCV system and the 2.5 uses a PCV system.
  20. What is it that you're referring to as a PCV valve? The 4.0 has a CCv system. no valve, just an open elbow.
  21. I changed the title for you. maybe it'll help.
  22. most of it is emissions related, but they aren't harmful to power.
  23. I think pretty much everything under the hood has a good purpose and none of it robs any power. :dunno: blow-by is a whole nuther issue. make sure the skinny line going to the valve cover is cleaned out. The late model valve covers can help out too. they have a different baffle system inside. oh, and the 4.0 is not a PCV, it's a CCV. there's no PCV valve, just an open elbow.
  24. make sure the skinny vacuum line going to the back of the valve cover is cleaned out. and please stop putting tech questions in the pub. :fs2:
