  1. yeah no kidding
  2. awesome. :D wish I had one of those at that age. interesting quandary on the tires. what about some black silicone?
  3. item 151 on today's glitch list... :( although I found a post at the phpbb forums that says the one admin link won't work if the software wasn't properly updated (i.e. we were at version 3.04 and updated to 3.07 with the 3.06 patch instead of the 3.04 patch). might be a clue since that link doesn't work properly for me.
  4. hmmm..... :hmm:
  5. you seem to be getting pretty good at removing axles.
  6. didn't seem to be working on darren's post so we'll try this out.
  7. If you can make it a day, you can make it a week. If you can make it a week, you can make it a month. and if Ben tries to offer you a drink, punch him in the gut. :D
  8. I hate cleaning mud out of my drums so that they work again. :fs1:

    WTT: Axles

you can get a set from your local dodge/chrysler/jeep dealership too through the Mopar parts catalog. less than 20 bucks.
  10. I'd start by calling it a "light bar" or a "sport bar". ain't no way that's going to do anything but crush like an empty pop can in the event of a roll over. bonus redneck points to you though. it's free and it might kill you. :rotf:
  11. welcome to the addiction :wavey: and I think those fronts are also Jeep rims.
  12. I'd still get the longer lower arms, but it may not make a difference if the coils are stiff and the shocks are cheap. :dunno:
  13. yet another lovey-dovey, warm-n-fuzzy moment. brought to you by comanche club. :ack:
  14. the lens is only four screws even i can take those off without screwing up ;) clearly you don't live in the rust belt. :D
  15. what brand lift did you put up front?
  16. nothing wrong with the ol' AX-5 that your truck would have come with. plenty of them out there.
  17. I believe this is the 4.0
  18. finally... the code guy left tickets on the trucks. now we can get to the fun part. the code I was written up for: also, the Doctor has an upcoming court date about his parking lot. don't know how that case might turn out since I still haven't found the code spelled out in black and white.
  19. don't throw the peugeot trans away. keep it around for another member in need. same with the trans mount if it's in decent shape.
  20. :waving: welcome to the addiction.
  21. yeah, that's mostly conjecture on my part. I no longer have a 2wd to check clearance on. :( and not all 31s are made the same. some are really only 30" tall, others are a bit over 31". individual results may vary. :D
  22. an MK isn't a Wangler. the MK retains the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. The new wrangler has a 5 on 5" pattern. 2wd MJs sit lower than 4wd MJs and it'll be a reeeeal tight fit putting 31s in there. I'd say 30" tires are the max for a 2wd. my 88 with 30" BFGs: also, be prepared to hate driving an MJ with 31" tires and 3.07 gears. :ack:
  23. lord only knows. my parents are going back to georgia soon and the Jeep goes with them. again. :( chances are real good you'll be doing the belt change first. changing anything else at the time? (pump, pullys etc) If you could send a sensor, that'd be awesome. although I'm assuming they are the same sensor at each wheel?
  24. in my opinion 3.07 gears SUCK under any conditions. :fs1: 3.55 geared axles are by far the most common axles under XJs (4.0/auto) and would be much better (but still not quite ideal)
  25. sure fixed the shift light in the 88. :D
