isn't that always the first question. if nothing else, try car-part.com and search for MJ specific items like rear axles, beds, taillights, etc. Congrats to your bro!

I've always wondered what my tip-over angle was... :D
  3. awesome story! Welcome to the club! :wavey:
  4. you don't necessarily need the expensive stainless steel flex lines. stock rubber YJ lines from the auto parts store work great too.
  5. welcome to the madness. :wavey:
  6. Hi! welcome to the club! :waving: this forum is more for owners showing what they're doing. Questions should really go in the Tech forum so more people will see them and also so the answers are in the search database. but real quick; it's not that the axles are different widths, it's that the bed of a Comanche is wider than the front end. but yes, quality spacers can be added to the rear to make things more aesthetically pleasing. :D and the limited-slip rear was an option that could have been added to any MJ.
  7. is the drivers window down? rain hasn't gotten inside has it?
  8. x2 :(
  9. ditto. feel free to drop that bad boy off at my parents place in GA.
  10. can you ask him to hand the camera to someone for some action shots? :brows:
  11. constructive criticism guys.
  12. WJ arms. more clearance and more strength. :D
  13. an easy cure for tire rub is to adjust the steering stops. a better way is to swap in WJ lower control arms. 31s on Jeep rims with WJ arms and no rubbing on the street:
  14. sometimes it's too far gone for that. but it's a fairly simple task to replace the mechanism.
  15. no problemo. I'll send some out next chance I get. 870 Remington, yes?
  16. yeah. I wish. not "change" per se, but more of sway the decision making process to a vehicle I'm already familiar with (since I'll likely be the mechanic).
  17. you may notice a vibration when in 2wd if any of your driveshaft u-joints are toast. which is sorta a good thing, since then you'll know you need to replace them.
  18. My buddy Mike and I just got back from buying a truck in SC and driving it back to MI. AAA told him to put the old plate on the truck and have available a bill of sale, the title, and the insurance stuff that they emailed to us to print out.
  19. friend of mine is leaning towards an 08 Escape. anyone have one? or should I say, anyone willing to admit they have one? or maybe your second cousin's neighbor's former roommate has one? While I work on convincing her to get an 07 Liberty instead, I still need to have a backup plan and suddenly become knowledgeable about the escape.
  20. I know it's been done with the 231, but I don't recall anyone ever trying with the 207. It's not exactly known for its awesomeness in stock form.
  21. I too have contemplated removing the heaviest part to conserve fuel. so far only my MJ in GA has had that mod. and on that one we went extra crazy and pulled the trans out too. Not only am I saving lots of gas, but I'm saving tons of money on wear-n-tear and insurance too.
  22. ooooooo... backlit keys.... very nice....
