    Tiger Woods

a few of you guys know that I'm an ex-professional chef....... way way way back in my career, when I was still scouring pots and scrubbing floors, a very young Tiger came to play the somewhat infamous ameteur tour that the country club I worked at hosted. He was the epitomie of exuberent innocent youth, being coached along by his father (may he RIP). It truly was a wonder to see him and how his talent was evlolving. Fast forward about 10 years, and I was now working at a different private course cooking for some of golf's (and industry's) greatest names. Young Tiger has now become a legend in his own mind. He can't even be bothered to look me in the face as I am plating his dinner at tableside.......he brushes me and my dining staff off with a grunt. eff him, and the Buick he rode into town on too. He deserves everything that he got from his wife, and more. What goes around comes around. Jeff
  2. shut the @#$%ing door..... this whole place needs to start growing the @#$% up a little bit. Jeff
  3. I don't want to break your heart, but it's not quite as simple as it seems.... to open up the system (which apparently, yours is already open/leaking) you have to recover all of the refrigerant correctly, and legally. Once the system has been evacuated, you can remove the compressor. At this point you have introduced moisture into the system, so you need to replace the receiver/dryer, install the new pump with the correct amount of oil in it and the dryer, and pull a vaccuum on the entire system to ensure no leakage. Then recharge with the correct amount of refrigerant, using both low and high side pressure gauges. Sure, you can ghetto-fab a new compressor in, skipping most of the above, and not care about anything else, but we here at CC don't condone such things. Jeff
  4. yes, and that's all I'll care to contribute to this discussion. Jeff
  5. rest easy Mr. Babcock......many should take a lesson from his desire to serve country :Canadaflag: Jeff
  6. yeah, but the BIG one is coming.......Feb 26-27. This one will be the grand finale of the season for the mid-Atlantic/eastern seaboard......triple phased monster. Get yer shovels ready...... Jeff
  7. :nanner: . . . . . . . . . ;)
  8. Me too, but I switch the feed type out when the season changes. Suet cakes go out in the cold too, but those come down when it starts warming up.
  9. hope springs eternal..... Don, we've actually had songbirds here in my part of VA for the last week or so. I can't describe how beautiful it is hearing them start calling up about 1/2 hour before dawn in the morning. Time to switch the feed in the birdfeeders, I suppose. Jeff
  10. looks like the PO replaced part of the factory linkage with a piece of all-thread and a couple of heim rod ends (I'm working on a similar setup now, too). Third pic shows one of the jam nuts loose on the rod, meaning probably the all-thread spun and that part is now the wrong length. Check and adjust, then tighten the jam nuts back down to keep the length fixed. Also, is your rig at static height in those pics or is your rear suspension in droop? If that's normal ride height, I'd be worried about your rear driveshaft length. That slip yoke is pretty far out of the tailcone. Even if it doesn't fall out, you'll probably have some bad vibes going down the road. Jeff
  11. no, some CAD models had a contact switch with a single wire coming out of them above the vaccuum connexion. I would ASSume that the switch inside the housing is NO, and when vac is applied and the fork slides over it closes to compete the circuit and illuminate the dash light. Most likely it's a switched ground, but that's just a guess. I'm not running any of the vac or wiring on my rig (shimmed over shift fork). Jeff edit: just snapped a pic, and the wires are orange.....I'd say it's a switched positive based on the wire color. Image Not Found
  12. nothing.....we got back from our weekly pilgramage to Walmart and she ran into the bathroom and puked breakfast up (I made french toast, fried apples w/ cinnamon and brown sugar, coffee and chocolate milk). Then I went to the bar and watched some of Daytona. I do have a nice roast beef that just came out of the oven, and am working up mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, au jus and rolls. Dinner is in about 30 mins. Jeff
  13. already on the news up here Don.....prayers for your daughter and rest of family :shake: Jeff
  14. location? I've got a couple 2.5/AX5 shafts but shipping might not be worth it for you. Jeff

I almost ran away with a girl back in high school that lived on the other side of the Quemahoning dam.....turned out she was a full-on nut job. Hindsight, 20/20 as they say... :D you should also check out bigrubbers4X4.com, it's a local club in that area. The club prez, bear, posts on here from time to time. Jeff

    New Guy

I'm from Johnstown originally.....moved down here to VA about 10 yrs ago. Still get up home every 6-8 weeks or so, though. Welcome to the club Jim. Now go sell the S-10 and get an MJ ;) Jeff
  17. maybe the slave didn't die, but it's quite possible that one of the stupid little U clips that hold the lines into it fell out and a line popped off. Happened to me with a brand new one I installed within 24 hours. Replace those POS clips with cotter pins. Jeff
  18. we need to meet up the next time I'm back home.....Indiana is some of my old stompin' grounds  My mother is a retired teacher from United School district, and we have a family farm (80+ acres) up in Armagh. Jeff
  19. We ended up with about 8-9" of snow/sleet here, plus about an inch of rain last night in the middle of the whole damn show.....our local club has spent the last two days playing taxi for med staff into and home from the local hospital. Couple shots from today, the MJ never made it out because I was chauffering multiple staff and their belongins. Gonna be back out @ 0600 tomorrow for shift change. Talked to mom at home tonight (Johnstown, PA) and they got 25" :fs1: Jeff Image Not Found Image Not Found
  20. sorry Wade....been out shuttling medical staff into the local hospitals all day today and just got home. Need dinner, shower, and several beers (not necessarily in that order LOL). IIRC the skid doesn't block the tranny mount holes in the bottom of the Xmember. But if it does block one or two of them, that's nothing a 1/2" holesaw coudn't fixx.... ;) JEff
  21. well, the holes are there at least so you know where the bolts go :D Nutserts would work, or you could probably fish a couple of nuts and washers up inside there thru one of the tranny mount holes. Get the skid mounted to the crossmember while on the bench, then install it all under the tranny and install the bolt in the framerail. Jeff
  22. <> Bed Bath and Beyond FTW....... <>
  23. the only wiring the AX15 needs is for the backup lights. I can't remember which wires from the auto harness those are, but they should be easy enough to find with a meter.....just splice them into the wires coming off the backup switch on the tranny. You'll also have to bypass the NSS by either jumping together or cutting and splicing the A and E wires on the connector. Jeff
  24. with later model or aftermarket units , even at stock PSI, you do get the benefit of the quad orifices in the injector tip (better atomization) Jeff
