Y'all don't like him because he doesn't coach your respective teams. :D Trust? Feeling? WTF? He get results within the rules. You prolly don't trust him because he reneged on his comittment to the pros. He belongs in college football - he knows that - his style wouldn't work in the pros. Bring him to NEB or UVA and he would turn those programs around too. Quickly. Get real.

Ain't no trash - just fact. Yeah I'd like to see a Husker/Tide final too. 'Bama will be there next year, but I doubt y'all will. Too bad it couldn't be an all SEC final where the best football is at present. The Bear would be proud.
-
The 'Bama defense doesn't get the credit it deserves. It's a complete balanced team - a Saban trademark. Hell, the offense isn't that great either. Ingram is the only marque player. But the TEAM on either end of the ball is the best in the NCAA. I see a shutout against the Huskers as they are now. And 14 - 0 is a good guesstimate score, as 'Bama wouldn't run it up as the Huskers did in the long ago hayday.

Thanks guys. Bama is a class team, thanks to Saban. Been a long time (92) since they won the biggie. They do what they have to do to win w/o embarassing the other team. If McCoy didn't get injured (on a clean smashmouth hit), the result would have been the same, only with a higher score, prolly same point spread. It was complete control throughout. Wade, I think it would have been easier against the Huskers w. their zero offense. Congrats to the Horns, they WILL be tougher next year. But nobody's leaving Bama - they will be even tougher next year. ROLL TIDE!

No worries. But I'm impressed with Gilbert and how he responded and Shipley's a hell of a receiver. Now it's time again for 'Bama smashmouth football. Settin' on a lead never works.............. EDIT: Now that Blitz was smashmouth!

I don't feel bad. If you wanna cry you do it the end of the game after you busted your butt through the entire game trying to win it. That doesn't give the rest of your team warm fuzzies. If he can't handle the pressure he should be a cheerleader or something. Hopefully Colt will come back in and make this a game............
-
How do you spell D-U-M-B-O-N-A-T-E? Both sides of the ball. If Gilbert is the Horn's future hope @ QB, they be in deep kimche. Did you catch the kid crying? :shake:

Then Alabama on the kickoff?? WTF?? This is like Peewee football......

And some day Payton might be as good as his Daddy was.

Charles Barkley came to town the other day (he was born & brought up in Alabama) and when the local newsfolks asked him about tonight's game, he picked the Horns by a field goal. What a freekin' jerk. Actually I kind of agree with him because I think the the game will be close, but it'll be the Tide by a field goal probably in O/T. I think it will be a fairly high scoring game too with both teams in the 30's. I really don't want a Bama 40-point blowout and don't think it'll happen.

Yes, AFAIK, a new complete fixed antenna, either OEM or aftermarket, is unobtainium for the MJ/XJ. It's a one-of-a-kind animal due to the fender mounting parts. Of course the yard is an option. I picked up a NOS 2001 XJ power antenna on Ebay for $9.00 and wired it in about four years ago, and it's still working fine. It's plug and play except for extending the BLU wire to the radio connector.

I don't think this is correct. All the Saginaw boxes the Cherokee used should be the same. Correct - the XJ boxes are all the same 3-bolt 14.1 ratio Saginaw steering gear. The 93-98 ZJ boxes however are the quicker 12.7 ratio. http://www.chevelles.com/techref/ftecref29.html

Now this is an informed opinion based on experience.

swapping brake booster pedal rods
HOrnbrod replied to james750's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yes, different. One of our members used the HO brake switch in a Renix (Jeff maybe?); hopefully he'll chime in. -
Another enlightening opinion from a very learned member. Thanks very much for sharing that.

Yes I did, on a 96 XJ I had when stationed in Guam that was the POS cross-over year between OBDI and OBD2. I did wire in an external regulator (Niehoff I think it was) that did work w/o a CEL for that particular fault. But that XJ had a CEL ON more than OFF. I wasn't about to spend $$ on this thing and learned some creative wiring techniques to keep it going until I left the island. I sold it to a local before I left. I passed through Guam a few years later, and the XJ was still in use as a taxi still going strong.

Looks good Jeff, but as you well know, it ain't big enough. Especially the workbench and you'll need tons more pegboard. Pegboard is the best invention in the world - got a whole 20' wall dedicated to it - it's better than shelves for hanging light stuff so you can see it. They make adapters to hang anything. And Mama doesn't come out to my only remaining personal space and put stuff on the pegboard; she's looking for a flat space like shelves and/or benches. I spot that stuff and it's trash history. I love pegboard. 99.9% of my tools hang there. I have a 20' x 24' garage and a 14' x 14' outside heated shed, and it still ain't big enough. It's never big enough.............

What's a "Cewer coil"??

Complete thread hijack: Eagle, is the CT temp on your avatar live and accurate? We're a lot colder than right now. Brrrrr.

Not quite true. The NipponDenso alternators used in the HOs are quite capable of utilizing an aftermarket external voltage regulator ( the terminals are there) if the ECU internal regulator fails. The ND alts w. an external regulator are commonly used to upgrade older Delco and other alternators.

swapping brake booster pedal rods
HOrnbrod replied to james750's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
On the 91s and up, the newer booster and rod is a direct bolt-in. You have a 90 model James - modifying or swapping the rod is needed. I've never heard of anyone swapping the booster rods; they always send them off to a rebuilder to do. I suspect it's because the booster shell has to be opened up. I'd try to carefully modify by grinding the new booster rod as many others have done. If you grind too much off, you could always pick up an 91+ HO brake switch, connector, and bracket at the yard, install the new switch and wire it in. The new HO switch rides the brake pedal arm, not the booster rod. The HO brake switch has NO (normally open) contacts (two sets) and "make" when the brake pedal is applied. -

You must see some big white tails out there. Down here they are close to goat size. :(
