  1. The high altitude CPS for the Renix 4.0 is p/n 53003659, superseded by p/n 53005421. For the 91+ HO 4.0 engines there was only one factory CPS.
  2. A rheostat is a potentiometer (variable resistor) that raises or lowers the voltage to a load. Rotating the headlight switch knob controls the rheostat and the dash lights are the load in this case.
  3. Yes, with with those operating votages the Ebay LEDs will dim until about half rotation of the dimming rheostat (if the rheostat isn't corroded thus reducing it's slider output voltage), then they will go out. I'll stick with my incandescents. Any corrosion at all in the dimmer rheostat will reduce voltage to the dash lights so the LEDs may not work at all.
  4. Another thing about using LEDs for an application that will be dimmed by a rheostat (like dash lights) - sometimes they don't work well. They simply click off and on and don't gradually dim like the incandescents if they don't have a built-in ballast resistor. Make sure before you buy that the LEDs will work on a variable voltage circuit.
  5. Where's your overhead lights Jeff? Before I put the sheetrock up I wired in ten 220V dual flourescent 6' fixtures on four separate circuits. When they are all on it's !BRIGHT! even with the beige walls.
  6. Nope, did not. I had nothing big enough to bake the cover at home. But it was a 100 degree day when I painted it and I let it air dry for a couple of days. The humidity was maximus too. :D The paint just kind of crinkled over time, but it looked really good at first. Rustolem brand. :hmm:
  7. I also used the 1200 degree primer and paint. Maybe I didn't prep well enough - I don't know. Have done quite a lot of prep/painting before. :dunno: You'll prolly be okay - time will tell.
  8. Actually the alum cover was used up to 1994 I believe. I tried to refinish my 91 cover using non-aluminum hi-temp primer and paint and it did not last over a year before it started flaking off. The alum covers get real hot. I finally did it right and had it blasted then powder coated. Still looks like new after four years now. Hope the paint holds up for you.
  9. Of course - it was hard to miss when it was replayed 10-15 times. :D Most games always have calls that the zebras blow, but all-in-all I think this game wasn't too badly officiated. There were lots of opportunities for bad/missed calls I think because of all the offense. I don't think they changed the outcome of the game in this one. Let's hope for the rest of the playoffs this remains true.
  10. Are you using the cast aluminum or steel cover?
  11. Aye - your team member said it right. Could also apply to the Colts and a couple of other teams. These players are making millions a year. The fans support and pay these guys salaries and the teams have an obligation to the fans. It should be balls to the wall with the able best players in for the entire season for every game until they're eliminated, or sooner or later the fans might stop buying tickets. Most of the players won't even play in the Pro Bowl and fake injuries. That used to be an honor! Like everything else, it all boils down to more $$ for the owners/players (in that order) and the fans get screwed. :(
  12. brimy311, highly suggest you not do tool up or do anything that costs you $$ until the $$ are in hand. Too much drama here........ As I'm sure you can see. :shake:
  13. Yeah, Rackers was underway for the kick before the ball got halfway to the holder. Nerves I guess, definitely the goat of the game. Aaron Rodgers had a super game - watch out for the Pack next year. I kinda agree with your picks, except would not be surprised to see the Jets for the AFC and either the Cards or (gasp) Cowgirls as the NFC spoilers. I'm kind of pissed the the Colts didn't go for an undefeated season and hope it blows up on them. That crap wouldn't have ever happened in the old days........... EDIT: And if the Cowgirls should get in the Big Bowl, as much as I love the NFC, I'd have to go with the AFC team no matter who it is.
  14. Two "wildly" different games today. The Pats completed their mediocre season (for them) with a one-sided loss to the Ravens. Super defensive effort by the Ravens, especially Ray Lewis. Was glad to see the old dog perform as he did. The Ravens jumped out early and Brady and the offense could never recover. The Pats need work. Another defensive struggle in the Cards/Packer game. NOT! Freekin' 51 - 45, Cards win. Absolutely no defense played in this game, until the game winning TD in O/T. Both QB's had super games, and again another old dog Kurt Warner comes out on top. One of the best ever in the post season. I still think they'll take out the Saints next week in New Orleans.
  15. You taking any pics Jake?
  16. The WT761 sensor should be okay. Your oil pressure seems fine. The Jeep gauges are notoriously inaccurate and the only way to make sure if that's the actual pressure is to compare it with a known good standard, like a calibrated mechanical gauge.
  17. Sounds lou installed a water temperature switch, not a gauge sending unit. The switch is for the idiot light. You need the sensor (thermister) for the XJs/MJs with gauges. Niehoff TS82771/AL6206 or equivalent
  18. The XJ senders do not fit the MJ tanks - different animal.
  19. Yeah, but then you would have had the fuel gauge polarity/accuracy problem unless you could find an MJ HO sender. And those are tough to find - only for two years were they made...........
  20. It's real easy with the electronic speedo. :D

  22. Agree Wade - you always go back to your roots even if you live on the moon. Being originally from VT, and living about everywhere since then, I'll always be a Celtic and Red Sox fan; that'll never stop. Ain't much football up North except Penn Sate. I'm a 'Bama come here, been here for several years now, will never go back up north. And when you say "having something that you were passionate about in common with a million or so people", that sure pertains to this state. Football rules here, and you're either an Auburn fan or a 'Bama fan, both sides hate the other side equally. :D The Iron Bowl is a state holiday. :D Since both my daughters attend UA, one in the Tuscaloosa motherland and the other at UA-Huntsville, you kind of get swept up in it. It's great for the state that 'Bama's back and looks to stay there for awhile and IB happy. I suspect Nebraska is the same way.
  23. Since 1869 when football National Champions were declared by one means or another, Alabama has 17, Nebraska has 11. The most have been racked up by Princeton with 28, followed by Yale with 27. Anyone can skew statistics to make their point. But none of these stats matter Wade; the point is Bama won the Championship, the Huskers didn't make the game. Case closed. Should be exactly the same results next year too.
  24. A little defensive ability helps too Jim. And yeah Wahoo, Saban has all the personality of a bent $#!&can and has no life outside of football. He is hard to like. I admire his wife for putting up with him. But he could care less about his popularity, he just wins baby.
