  1. By early style do you mean the Renix years? My 91 uses only one key for everything, including the glove compartment. Guess you could find a 91+ XJ/MJ and take all the lock cylinders out of it.
  2. If I were to buy another stroker, it for sure would not be from Titan. Go on over to the strokers forum and check out the horror stories.
  3. There was a thread on this on the Strokers forum. A guy tried to find bushings and bearings to rebuild his distributor and had a hard time doing it. There's no "kit" for them, and he couldn't find all the parts he needed. Based on that, I'd just get another. Have you pulled the distributor yet to inspect it? I've never heard one do that before.......
  4. 1996 was the cross-over year from OBDI to OBDII. As such it had it's share of electrical problems. I've had two; one I bought new in late 95 that spent more time in the Jeep warranty shop than on the road; the second was three years old and was problem free. Probably because all the warranty work was completed. Since you did not explain what your purpose for the "donor" is, be advised that there were numerous changes made throughout the 96 year for these, including major changes in the wiring harnesses and the PCMs. I'd make sure that it was a late manufacturing year 96 model, as the early 96's were definite POS's electrically.
  5. I have a better idea. Why don't you post up a picture of your LCAs and we'll tell you what you have. :D
  6. The Dana book agrees: 605315-3 = JEEP Model 35 REAR 1985.5 - XJ UTILITY STD 4.11
  7. GREAT score - Congrats!! And I thought I had them all. But w. you being from Northern Cali packratt, I think I know where they originally came from. 8)
  8. Well done Boilermaker. Above and beyond.
  9. Yes.
  10. Use the Ford brake clevis. You won't have enough cable slack to use the wire rope clamp.
  11. Yep, they do. The kit is in their catalog: MG22135 - Dana44 - 87-06 - TJ/TJ/XJ - 30 Spline Notice the application year span.
  12. Don't listen to the peanut gallery gogetemturbo. I really like it and it's good to see a non-stereotype MJ like that.
  13. Really poor business practice. If they advertised it would fit the older XJs/MJs as well they would probably double their sales.
  14. Thanks Johnny and Motion. Dayem, you would think Alloy USA tech support would know that. Idjuts.......
  15. I'm not asking the value of the chromo axles, I already know that. What I'm trying to so is find out if the 12135 Alloy USA axle kit will work in the older D44. It's listed for the 97-06 Jeep TJ applications. I called Alloy USA tech support to ask. This guy was not the most knowledgeable person I've ever talked to, but he did furnish the axle lengths for the kit (29-1/4" Left; 29-3/4" Right) and they have the 30 spline count which is correct for my 89 D44. So, the question is before I spring for the kit, any reason it will not work for me? Anyone use this kit besides Joe?
  16. I looked at that kit Joe but the application states for the 1997 and up Dana 44?
  17. Been using Dri-Slide on my motorcycle cables for years and tried it on the hood cable. It has a needle applicator that you can insert into the cable sheath and squirt it in until it flows out the other end. Can pull the hood release cable with two fingers now. Good stuff.
  18. Well, ran into a snag. Turns out one of the axles is bent. :fs1: Not bad, but bent. Anyone have a good spare drivers side XJ/MJ D44 axle?
  19. I'm just looking for the fixed X-axis SOA/SUA dimensions from the flanges or centre-to-centre for XJ and MJ perches if you have them.
  20. Pete, Can you put dimensions on that drawing? :brows:
  21.
