  1. Brazilian Soldiers The Dept of Defense briefed the president this morning. They told President Obama that two Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq in a surprise attack on their new headquarters. To everyone's surprise, all the color drained from Obama's face. Then he collapsed onto his desk, head in his hands, visibly shaken, almost in tears. Finally, he composed himself and asked, 'Just how many is a brazilian?' This is not surprising, since he obviously has no understanding of a billion or trillion either. Just thought I'd share.
  2. During the last bout of tornadoes here we were down for 14 days. The hardest part was during the first week when we had to drive 75-100 miles to find gas and then wait in line for hours. Hope you can get it easier Jeff-man.
  3. :agree: Young, naive, but not dumb. Sweet corn is a relative newcomer hybrid that comes in many varieties. All hybrids are vulnerable to changes in the norm and are do not tolerate change well from their programmed ideal conditions. Cow corn, native maize, survivor corn, whatever you call it is a native American crop and survives throughout most all extreme adverse conditions. It's fed and nourished both humans and our domesticated animals for centuries and w/o it the designer corns you like wouldn't have happened. I appreciate the proven olde school in all things, especially MJs.
  4. Naw. I'll stick to cow corn. It hangs through most any weather with a decent harvest and is always good. Strange and weird you don't realize that. Most folks do.
  5. Looks like a cotton field after four months of drought.
  6. I was right down the road in S. Burlington Remi. I knew you were not a native Cali guy. Lived on a dairy farm out in Chittenden county. Back then it was all farm land; it's really changed now. No relatives left there, they all moved south to Mass.
  7. That's great Jeff. Got to keep your beer cold. First things first. I grew up in N. VT up past Burlington. Haven't seen much damage up that far north, only in southern VT, like centuries old covered bridges swept away like toys. :(
  8. You can borrow mine Jeff. Unfortunately it's quite a drive......... :( Anybody from VT here? Looks like the creek's risin' up there in my home state.
  9. Not worth a reply except: :hmm: :shake:  :rotfl2:
  10. I don't care for sweet corn at all. It's too mushy, too soft, and too sweet. I like fully matured all yellow mealy corn with big kernels roasted in the shell slowly until just slightly burnt, then opened up and rolled in melted butter w. a dash of lemon juice and plenty of salt. Much better flavor for moi. Guess that's what I get for growing up on a dairy farm and eating what we called "cow corn" as a kid. Still tastes the best. Although I'm absolutely positive I would pig out at your place Rob.
  11. Impossible to predict if the MF switch is bad or not w/o ohming out the circuits through the switch in all wiper positions. Have you tried a different delay module? Lot easier than replacing the MF switch.
  12. The delay module is the same throughout the years. It sounds like the multifunction switch in the column is the wrong one or it's bad. The correct switch w. delay is p/n 56000032. It has one more wire than the non-delay multifunction switch, seven vs. six. Count the number of wires on the harness that plugs into the delay module. Should be seven wires on the connector.

  14. Every time I eat Doritos, I think of this. It always cracks me up. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0nliPWaCvA
  15. Y'all East Coast guys from Nags Head, NC and all points north to Maine all hunkered down? Prepare and take care mates.
  16. Maybe. Any chance you can post up a pic to see your fix?
  17. That's what she said. And she was right.
  18. Agree. The Taurus fan is an excellent choice for the 2.5L w. the square radiator. It's a bit more difficult to fit it in front of a 4.0L rectangular radiator though..........
  19. The OEM 10-blade fans from the 97+ XJs pull more air than any other fan for their size I've seen, almost 1500CFM/ea. And they are the right size for our rigs therefore easier to install if you're careful. The 14"-16" Zirgo fans and the other "offshore" fans do not pull nearly the air the OEM fans do despite their inflated claims. I know, I tried them first. Don't waste your money. The Taurus fan is a powerful fan, but it's hard to fit in because of it's size in the limited underhood real estate we have. They also usually pull in excess of 30A on startup, so the alternator output and mains cable size should be increased to do it right. I did my electric fan conversion long ago like the below link and it's superior to the original setup with the mechanical fan by far. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8342
  20. 1. Purchase and install a new multifunction switch w. delay inside the column. (hardest part) 2. Procure and install the delay module at the bottom of the column inline with the harness. (easy) 3. Purchase and install a new column stalk w. delay. (easy)
  21. Yes, simple to make. Made one in about an hour out of a piece of 1" square tubing scrap cut and drilled to size when looking for ways to get rid of some annoying driveline vibes. Unfortunately that wasn't the cause of the vibe problem.
  22. Have you checked the fuel pressure at the rail port?
  23. Plenty of surplus available now in Libya. :D
  24. Thanks for your efforts Remi. Looks like a rear overload leaf was pulled in a feeble attempt to lower it, as well as other chassis "modifications". Probably contributed to the fool wrecking it. Also I love the installed Stull tubular grille. :ack: The left axle shaft at least is toast. But definitely it should not be totaled. I never noticed the unique rear bumper before. Kinda like a front bumper on the back. Well, keep in touch and let us know what's happening. Damn sure we can prevent this MJ from the crusher.
