If it's from a 91 it uses the long shaft speedo gear. The shafts can also be swapped between gears.

Ohio University Bobcats? :jump: :jump:

We all want that Joe. Made in the USA and all that. In order for US companies to make that decent profit, costs must be cut, because the ferocious overseas competition is killing US companies one by one. It will not stop, it will only get worse. I have no answer or cure. Hoping things get better won't get it done. We, the USA, the unions and management, must adapt or die. Keeping our families enjoying the same same benefits as past generations ain't happening any more. AAARG. I'm glad I'm retired and okay (for the moment) and not just starting out as my kids are and all our kids are. It's a different world out there now and time to get get everyone's heads out of the sand.

Yeah Jake, I think Ingram is going to be a great pro, as good as Emmitt Smith was. Was happy to see the Saints got him. Well, I moved the "A" to the other side. She didn't even notice it until we went to the airport last might to pick up my daughter. It had been on there for a week. :clapping:

I placed the Bama "A" on the wife's trunk lid since daughter #2 goes there and she's a fan. For some reason she doesn't like it and wants me to remove it. :dunno: Image Not Found

Yep. Let them strike themselves out of a job and possible retirement benefits. Plenty of skilled telecomm workers are waiting in line for those Verizon jobs even with the management mandates that don't look too harsh by today's economic standards. And it ain't going to change anytime soon.

HOrnbrod replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs

Unfortunately, it's too late. :( Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'll hang until Monday then get the magic shot at the doc's office. Should have gone in yesterday, but was too busy.

I've had this crap forever. When I was a kid I had to be hospitalized once after breathing smoke from a log fire that had the ivy vines on them. Got it inside my lungs the doc said. Talk about an itch you can't scratch. Envy you guys that are immune. Been in jungles, forests, swamps, etc. in a lot of places around the world, no problems. Poison ivy and it's varieties is strictly a North America thing I guess. Douched some vinegar on the affected places (well, most all the affected places), did help. No oatmeal around here unfortunately. :( What a PITA. Literally........... Thanks guys.
-
Yep, plenty of those vines, but no poison ivy leaves on them like this:
-
Yes, there are those fuzzy vines on most of the trees Pete. Kind of looks like a morning glory vine. I'm not sure which plant/vine caused this rash though. Have not tried vinegar Jim, will give that a shot. A long cold shower helped too, albeit temporarily. Not crazy about Jack Black, but am working on it internally with the High Life. The itching seems to get better each can. My hands are really swollen up too. The Benedryl and brew is making me not care though.

With all the tornadoes here lately, I hired some local bubbas to take out a bunch of trees that are too close to the house and could cause damage. I'm out there with them making sure they don't destroy my house, and caught poison something real bad, and it's spreading and itching and driving me nuts. Can't get to the Doc until Monday to get a shot. Am using the useless Calamine and other topical applications, and taking benedryl antihistamines. What are some good home remedies y'all use that actually work?
-
GEICO still does that.

Too many people want to stay on topic. Just buy it, or better yet, have your wife (Your in-law's daughter) work on her parents to get it for free. Did a similar thing Jim, only on the other side of the world. Rode my Beemer R60 around Luzon, the "Big Island" of the Philippines. Also a 30 day trip, lots of goat paths and made a lot of friends. Then when later transferred to Singapore to move the Admiral's HQ from Subic to Sing, had another BMW, this one an R75, and rode the Eastern & Oriental Express route from Singapore to Bangkok. Both were 1977 /7 airheads, and never had trouble anywhere except for the crappy Bings. Got so I could field-strip and rebuild them in 30 minutes flat. Good bikes.
-
Agree with all except Real bike class has always resided with the Beemers - only. And certain Guzzis, and a few Ducati models, Vincents maybe, ...... :peek:
-
But what do I know about VINs? :dunno:
-
:agree: And they are called revolver shackles.

You say the truck is in your wife's family and not running. Why don't they just give it to you or pay you money to fix it up so your wife can drive it again? Seems like the right thing to do IMHO. :clapping:

1J7GJxxxxxxx: Doesn't look like an MJ VIN beginning to me.
-
The C#*@ confused you Jim.

:agree: Great to know what's inside the various boosters, but I'd never attempt to open one up, change the arm, then use it on my rig. It's the brake system; too many unknowns unless you had the means to pressure test the booster assembly after the mod. For the HO 91-92 models it's a simple booster swap using the existing arm, but for the Renix models it's more complicated. Grinding down the flat tang on the arm seems a much safer way to do this upgrade to me.

This guy on NAXJA (jeeperjohn) has a nice setup. I have the same radiator but am not using the FFD electric fan setup; using two 10-blade original aux fans. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=984597&highlight=ffd+radiator
