  1. Those are very tough to find, especially for the 91-92 HOs. I've been looking for a long time. Until I do, I just used one of these on top of the column:
  2. 17 now.
  3. Excellently understated.
  4. Then why not post your location in your avatar, and what you drive in your signature. If everyone did this we would be golden.
  5. Good guess Boilermaker. IMO it will be a long wait for the milled aluminum badge. I could be wrong, but the below quote is what he posted on the Strokers forum. Might be best to email Will and ask. :dunno:
  6. Who really thinks Chinese Auto Replacement Parts (C.R.A.P. aka CRAP) Are made to military grade standards???? Chinese Auto Replacement Parts = C.A.R.P. = Bottom Feeders
  7. IIRC The 2.5 and 4.0 are non interference engines, so no internal damage would have occurred if the chain actually did break. Except maybe to the timing chain cover. When one broke in my old stock 4.0 engine, it cracked the cover.
  8. Been looking too. Nothing yet............
  9. That's correct. But only if you do a good job painting and polishing the badge.
  10. The pumps in both are rotating ccw.
  11. I'll take a pass on that bet.
  12. Well, it's the end result that matters. Good to hear you got 'er done.
  13. No one does. But in this case we're referring to hammer-on weights on the inside rim only.
  14. Do you think governmental mis-information is unique to our little corner of the world? All governments on every continent selectively leak information and/or mis-information to their citizens in order to preserve the peace, maintain the status quo, and most importantly to prevent anarchy or revolution that could disrupt their governmental power base. Most notorious are the Asian and Middle East countries, a never ending cauldron of civil unrest. Our government has been guilty of feeding us mis-information, Viet Nam is one example I am quite familiar with, but I don't think this remotely applies to what happened on September 11, 2001. But, here we can freely discuss issues like this in any public forum we choose, freely investigate, and demand results. The truth all comes out eventually. Try discussing issues like this on a public forum (if you can) questioning your government in Japan, Iran, Uganda or Panama to name a very few. You won't be around too long.
  15. Reminds me of a Toyota with the faux B pillar.
  16. It would be nice if all fixes were all this easy. But I think this applies only to the 7" wide rims, maybe only to the turbines. I had no problems using the stick-ons with various 8" rims.
  17. Which wheels do you have on the front? The 7" 10-spoke turbines like I do? I had the same problem with the stick-on inside outer edge wheel weights being knocked off when turning lock-to-lock. I found them laying in my driveway. It's the tie rod end links knocking them off when turning fully into the steering stops. Don't blame the tire shop - it only happens when you're in the stops and they don't know that. I didn't either until I figured it out. Brought it back and they fixed it free.
  18. Yes, this would be a good thing for you to do. Couple of tips: 1. There should be two holes in the top face of the bumper maybe covered with plastic plugs. These holes are normally used to mount the lamps if you purchased the low profile rectangular lights normally used on MJ/XJ vehicles. Jeep originally used Marchal halogen lamps. 2. If you remove the bottom two bumper mounting mounting bolts, this will allow you to pivot the bumper up a couple of inches and give you more room to attach the lamp mounting hardware behind the bumper.
  19. Howley's post. As I read it, he wants to turn on his fogs at will; by themselves, w. or w/o the head lamps, HI or LO beam. As I do. If I'm reading his post correctly, the answer is yes, and no additional rely is required. And I fully understand Skidoo's fine wiring diagram, but this is not what Howley is asking.
  20. Of course. Howley was asking to break the law. And he has factory fogs. I'd never break that law. Howley, if you need a wiring diagram to do what you ask, shoot me a PM with your email address.
  21. Simple. Just change the original fog lamp relay coil HI-beam 12V feed to an 12V IGN-switched feed.
  22. Measure your lift over stock height by using this procedure: http://comancheclub.com/topic/11098-how-to-measure-ride-hight/
