  1. Anyone running them of know of anyone running them on an MJ?
  2. What HV pump? Never heard of that. I've been running the Hesco HV pump in my stroker for about ten years now with no problems in the installation or running it all those years.
  3. The grab handles were under the seat.
  4. Incommando, did you put in the grab handles? I can't believe these things don't come with them from the factory. I had to put them in my 2012 also. And the only reason we went with the Sahara we bought is because the wife (read Commander) wanted the TANK color, and I wanted the body colored roof and 3.73 axles. You couldn't get that in the Freedom and Sport editions. This was the only nearby model available with these options. All the other stuff came with it. I'm going to order the Rubicon 10th anniversary vented hood for it next week to keep the engine temps down a little. Functional and looks bad-azz too. .
  5. True - you could even get LWB Elims in 91/92. Forgot about that............
  6. A-man, please document this restoration with lots of step-by-step pics. This is the type of DIY project that belongs stickied forever into the DIY forum. It will help a lot of us down the road.
  7. Or something? The auction was ended because somebody used the Buy it Now. And it was well bought. Meanwhile you guys are nitpicking missing badges, messed up pinstripes, and it's not a 4WD. Elims are not 4WD.
  8. Just get some 1/4 x 20 x 1" cap screws with a small OD flat washer in the bolt head of your choice from Fastenal or similar. This is what you need for the metal cover. I like to use stainless Allen heads and washers for valve covers.
  9. 8mm square http://comancheclub.com/topic/46563-peugeot-ba105-transmission-fluid-change/?hl=square+plug&do=findComment&comment=475051
  10. Slip yoke spline count should be the same. Is the 87 a long bed? Otherwise the 86 parts rig shaft will be too long. Can't you measure each shaft u-joint to u-joint?
  11. I used to have them, but switched to turbines. Image Not Found
  12. I'm happy the Warriors won too, mainly to shut up the self-proclaimed "greatest player in the world" from Cleveland. What a pompous tool.........
  13. I figured it was the remote plug for the winch tucked behind the bumper? Sounds reasonable. Didn't go back far enough in the thread to see the bumper winch.
  14. Learn by your first mistake: Don't get another Crusty's product.
  15. What's this on your grille? :hmm: Image Not Found
  16. It sure is. Much too nice for that scurvy engine bay. :rotfl2: You should send it to me.
  17. Type "oil pump" in the search block (upper right corner) and there will be a slew of information you can read.
  18. Yep. 3/16" is the only size used for vacuum hose everywhere on the vehicle. :P
  19. Sounds like an intelligent group.
  20. Or measure the ID's.
  21. The new one is 3.73 with the tow package. It'll never see 24MPG unfortunately, and frankly find it hard to believe any JKU with the 3.6 could achieve 24 MPG. But I did test drive a 3.21 model first; seemed like a real dog compared to the 3.73 ratio and decided against it. The 3.73 with 18" wheels are a good combo.
  22. Here's the actual - pick it up Wednesday evening. 2015 JKU Sahara, 3.73 axles, Tow package, Leather, Connectivity Group, Max Tow Package, Trac-Lok Differential Rear Axle, Remote Start System, GPS, 18" Wheels, and a lot of electronic stuff I know not how it works yet. Coming in from Roswell, GA. 23. OME. But it's a bit more. Cheap out for chump change and you lose in the end one way or another. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16091_2000.htm
  24. Yep, I knew all about that problem dasbulliwagen and luckily we never had any fault codes or check engine lights with the 2012 Pentastar, and racked up 50K on it. I checked the codes every month or so and we never had the dreaded clicking noise from the left head, so this 2012 was a one of the good ones. The 2012 had a 3.73 axle ratio and was damn quick, but the new 2015 will have the 3.21 ratio running gear. How will this affect it? I'm guessing a bit doggier off the line but better highway mileage?
  25. Not yet.
