  1. I'm gonna have to go check mine to see if it came with the factory option now. But seriously. Maybe I missed it. What are the winch options going to be with this fabbed hidden system? Or is this not limiting options much at all. BTW I think there's enough of these types of projects on this site that we could start our own assm line and roll out some fresh Comanche's. Whaddya think?
  2. Hey, nothing can stop the jeep comanche. :USAflag:

  4. Great info, Thanks. $45 for a set of V8 ZJ springs? Out of a 98. I didn't ask mileage. Keep looking?
  5. Indianeese and jive weren't ever pushed on Americans before, during or after either of those conflicts. We've been expected to know and understand Spanish since before illegal immigration from Mexico became such a big deal. That being said, I could care less. Even though they get on my nerves, if they are here legally, who gives a hoot. :dunno: Great grandmother was full blooded cherokee and great grandfather was full blooded irish

  10. I've been cursing firefox for ages now. I've been getting so frustrated with it. As soon as I seen there was an update to 4 available a few days ago I think I hit the record for how fast you can click 'install' I must say, HUGE improvement. both cosmetically and functionally. No problems here. Sounds like someones been surfin around too many porn sites and clickin the wrong buttons without protection. :D Definitely recommend switching over if you haven't already.
  11. Not to hijack this, but it's the same topic. Where at are these numbers you're talking about. I haven't done more than draining and refilling axles. I want to find out more about gearing so I'm more comfortable swapping things around. I've got the 2.5 with a man 4spd and 45 is about the fastest i can comfortably take it. I can hit 60 but I'd never run it that fast for over 20 seconds or so. Whatever this gearing is, its great for low speed, got lots of low end power. but its horrible for the highway. Makes driving a town or two over to get CL stuff a pain.

  13. Mine was the same way when I got it. Just grab some speaker wire and re-run it. Use a wire clothes hangar or something to pull the wires behind and underneath the dash. It's extremely easy and you'll get the right lengths and colors for the speakers. You won't have to figure out what speaker the purple and green ones go to.
  14. :thwak: Really?? half-assing it cause you plan on getting rid of it? I almost hope no one buys it just for that fact. You should take some pride and responsibility and do it the right way. Great idea, horrible job.
  15. you CAN do it without dropping the tank. However, dropping it is the only way to be 100% sure you did the job right. And you know when putting everything back together you're not going to have to re-do the job due to a bad seal. When you buy the pump, make sure you buy a new strainer as well. Not only is it a good idea, but most fuel pump warranties are void unless you buy a new strainer to go with it. and of course grab a filter while your at it if you havent changed that in a while.
  16. Yeah that's right. You leaving the tank in or dropping it? Some people swear they've replaced countless senders with the tank attached and never had any problems. I've never chanced it and dropped the tank every time. That way you can be 100% sure it is sealed. Congrats on getting the truck out. Truly jealous. I've been running without a muffler for a couple weeks now. It sounded alright the first day and now it's driving me insane.

  18. Welcome to the forums! Post some pics when you get the chance. The search on the forum sucks, it takes alot of sorting and sifting to find anything you need. I just use google. just start out the search with site:comancheclub.com then you can use quotes, +/-, or any other modifier to search the site. it just won't pop up any threads started within a day or two. Hope this helps. Plus, you can search for words under 5 letters long. apparently you can't search for any words less than 10 letters long on here. it really helps out when what your looking for is less than 15 letters long. Examples: 2.5, 2.5l, 4.0, 97+. bottom line, you can get a lot more specific with google.
  19. bout 350 miles. if i didnt have one i was working on, i'd look into it more. I'm just always checking around for a 92 and theres one getting parted out.

  21. I was feeling left out with everyone's accomplishments on here. Then today a package showed up on my desk from my deployed unit commander. It was a certificate congratulating me on hitting 200 combat sorties(flights) on October 16 2010. I never really payed attention to how much time I've spent overseas until I opened that up. I looked up some other numbers and it looks like I'm at 207 combat flights totaling up to around 1450 combat hours. So I took a min to pat myself on the back, apologized to Blitzen on the way home for spending so much time away, then had a beer once I got home to make up for the one I know I didn't have on Oct 16th.

  25. all the parts were in the truck when i bought it. everything was just laying around in the engine compartment not hooked up. i got rid of some stuff, did some tests, moved some wires around and finally got it goin. I'm not sure what years/trims came with cruise so I'm not sure where all the components are from. Also, so i don't hijack your thread, if you need info on how i troubleshot and fixed it let me know and ill start a thread on it. ive got pictures to go with it. and if anyone has the info on years/trims cruise was available, that would help too.
