  2. have you looked into this any further, MJRemi. i friended them on fb and they seem to have a lot of cool projects going on.
  3. this one looks more mobile, - if you can deal with the rust. my 89 had rust above the rear fenders that i just cut out and moved the flair up a couple of inches. http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/3700577433.html
  4. this, the best advice i've seen on this thread. there's no fuse boxes at napa, lol.
  5. why check for anything? regardless of it's condition your going to be constantly spending money on it and replacing parts FOR-EVER, lol, that's just the nature of this game. you will either like it or you won't. my 2 best mj's i bought having never heard them run.
  6. the thing about that first one (prime), is, as absolutely beautiful as it is, ( and it is), anyone with a good credit card can do it. take a stock rust-free mj, add quality lift, tires and paint ......... done. silver-spoon builds ..... i kinda like to see the ones that were agonized over and cobbled together more.
  7. here's the other end:
  8. I'm partial to this one ( for the best mj/xj blah blah ... ) http://www.flickr.com/photos/7779157@N05/4310833214/

  10. i have a plywood box in right now that i made to the size i wanted. i will get something stronger in the future. the one stipulation that i have is that it is below the height of the bed (mostly for looks) and not over the rails ( so i can still get a canopy on). ok, i guess that's two stipulations.
  11. 440 mopar, 60s on 40s here's a few more on naxja http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1094106&page=3

  14. it is beautiful. there are some strangnesses though. ive never seen a column shift on an eliminator, or anything other than buckets and console for that matter.
  15. relevant: this video would convert anybody! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=369h-SEBXd8
  16. excellent write up. gives me some hope for mine now. i have a new (to me) slider, gasket is out, and now thanks to your descriptive pics and instructions, i just may get brave the next time the sun comes out here. thanks :)
  17. i read a lot of your thread tonight. excellent! alot of changes since the beginning. loved the flexing with stock control arms and the sway bar hooked up. - it's come a long way since then. :)
  18. i really don't see any reason to worry about water getting in. the only reason i keep the hood on at all in the summer is so tree branches don't grab under-hood wires and hoses and things on the way by. (and i live in a rain-forest). water shouldnt harm anything, considering quite often we will be speeding through huge puddles and lots of water is flying around under the hood then.
  19. very nice! - still pricey but sooo awesome. even though it might not pay for itself anytime soon economicaly, it would sure be nice to get out of the clutches of the oil companies. never having to visit the gas station again and hand over money would be very freeing in lots of ways. i think doing the house up in solar is about the same costs.
  20. hahah ---yup, this is good. - my story to a tee. (except i didnt buy the welder. - that was a mistake).
  21. get to the pics! - sheeeeesh.
  22. 4 1/2" long arm and then i could see it working for me :) - like!
  23. well i went down and met him, had a good look and a drive. he ended up taking 2800. and i couldnt be happier. all that was needed was a water pump because the one that was on it was starting to growl. this thing drives awesome and has everything we could want (except power windows). it has never been in the bush or the mud and i guess it was just built up this way for show. winch never used, spotless underneath, really like the stereo, auto start has been handy. plus it inspires me to get stuff done on the comanche, lol.
