  1. hahah -too many tabs / not enough observation. - i still think this is an awesome lil truck --------- the girl, - not so sure , lol. try this again ....... http://yakima.craigslist.org/cto/4008023061.html
  2. rare goodies and goodness. whhooooops .....
  3. thinking of going to a 16". what wheels should i be keeping my eyes out for?. i understand crown vic cop wheels might be a good choice. also some zj wheels came 16/4.5. any ideas? I'm loath to give up my gambles and turbines but am seeing lots of deals around on 16" mud tires.
  4. i should have added in my original post that i do have the chevy drop shackles on. they are the 2 hole kind and are set on the lower-amount -of -lift setting, so in that configuration they are about 1" longer than stock.
  5. uuuuugh. i picked the wrong day to fail geometry :( with a straight shaft ( no double cardan), i don't see how any of the angles would have changed. only difference is the t-case sits about 5.5 " higher than it was. i've read alot but at this point I'm not even sure if the housing should be rotated backward or forward ....... ive also seen posts that suggest 1 degree per inch of lift. from what i gather, in this set-up the pinions should be parallel regardless of the hieght difference.
  6. well i put the spring-over that was in my '86 long box into the '91 shortbox and there seems to be a new drive-line vibration. its not bad, but i definitely feel something is there and it shows abit in the rear view mirror. both truck are 5 speeds and there is no t-case drop. a friend suggested shims and low and behold another friend has a new set to spare. my question is does anyone have experience of this kind of thing and do you, dear c.c. member, think it will solve my vibe. all input greatly appreciated.

    Garbage?

i shouldnt even bring this up, cause i don't have the time, space, energy or resources, but i went to the garbage dump to drop a few bags of household trash. ( this is the actual garbage dump, - not a recycler or wrecker) and in that pile was a rust-free, shortbox pioneer 4x4 with straight body panels and an mj dana 44. I'm just venting here because i really have no business taking anything on at this time but ... i asked the loader operator about it and he said it was right on the pile and someone saw it and wanted it ( for scrap steel price) so they pulled it off the pile and wieghed it. ( would cost about $190. to grab it). but that was a week ago and the guy never came back. I'm pretty swamped right now but ...... i can't even tell myself that i would use the parts and send the rest back because the whole thing looked very save-able. i need more land ....... :(
  8. does anyone still have the diagrams for the re-plumbing of the distribution block? they seem to have been removed from this thread. ( i think I'm looking in the right place .....).

  16. ... if a person could get some cab-corners it looks like the rest could be dealt with easy enough. then it might be good for a wheeler. but ya. i wouldnt pay more than $100. over scrap value.

  23. those are awesome links sam. i have heard that the baw's don't have dana 30s. maybe ifs?
  24. ive seen that truck before. in fact have had a pic of it in my collection for a year or 2. if it's even close to you or your price-range i'd snap it up in a heartbeat. beautiful ! ( i'd have to make allowance for the bushwackers though).
