  1. You can remove the lock cylinders and take them to a locksmith. Cost me $10 at the lock guy in the parking lot of Pick-a-Part.
  2. I knew I had a recent photo somewhere. It was on my phone. Still undecided whether to keep the camper shell on or not. It's nice to have more secure and enclosed storage. But its a pain to get in and out of there. Plus, a couple people said it looks "tougher" without it
  3. That's probably why they filmed it down in Chile. And its a Jeep, not a car. :)
  4. Wow, first it was 16 months between updates and now its been 14 months. The truck is just about the same as it was last year. I put a new bed on after a couple of people ran into me. And earlier this year, I put an MJ specific Snug Top camper shell on and sprayed it primer gray to match. I drive the truck every day, and it never lets me down. I just moved into a new place in Fullerton, where there is plenty of room to work on it. So hopefully now I can make some progress.
  5. Hey neighbor. I think that makes like 6 MJs in all of Orange County. :)
  6. Welcome. A buddy of mine lives in Spanish Fork, UT and he just bought an MJ also. He hasn't signed up at CC yet, but he's on NAXJA. http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1087643
  7. just checked out your build thread nice truck, about due for ya 12 month update  Is your friend in Washington State over the cowl hood :dunno: I haven't done anything to the truck in 12 months. Just drive it every day and wheeling once in a while. :D I'll check to see if my friend still has the Jeep and hood.
  8. I bought one from 4 Wheel Parts three years ago. Had it on my truck for a couple of weeks, but didn't like how it looked and how the hood would hit the windshield wiper, when open. I gave the hood to a friend, in trade. It's now somewhere up in Washington State.
  9. My MJ can be seen in front of the previous owner's house in Las Vegas. I bought the truck in 2008.
  10. I thought someone was giving away a puppy or something.
  11. That's news to me.

You can find MJs around here once in a while, but they are usually pretty picked through.
  13. My buddy's longbed. He won't fix it just because he knows it bothers me. :)
  14. A lot of people could care less about Internet forums or being part of a club of any kind. Unfortunately, many MJ owners probably look at their trucks as a "vehicle", and not as an interest or hobby.
  15. Having early rear flares and late front flares hasn't bothered me too much. But I thought that I'd like them to match. I have a pair of early front flares that I'm going to put on my late front fenders...whenever I get a chance.
  16. I have an extra MJ one you can have for free.
  17. Sounds like you should've done some research before buying from them . :D Just sayin'.
  18. Welcome Dave. My 92 MJ is a Las Vegas native. It spent the first 16 years of its life in Vegas til I went out to buy it in '08. Nice thing about Vegas trucks is that they are rust-free. But the paint suffers in the desert.
  19. You can try cleaning the IAC, but they usually get pretty gunked up. Once, I had one so bad that when I took it off, the pintle and spring came out in pieces.
  20. Sounds like the IAC unit located on the throttle body.
  21. I have a 97+ console. It's got the built in cupholders and can hold a Super Big Gulp. I have a Cobra WX ST 75 CB radio and I mounted the control box inside the console and the cord comes out of the ebrake slot. When I'm not using the CB, I can stuff the cord into the console through the slot.
  22. Yes, I guess that would make a difference. Shortbed. It would probably work on a longbed.
  23. I tried to put a 33x12.50x15 tire under there. It *fit*, but the tire was right on the diff cover. Any suspension movement would put stress on the diff cover. Maybe a lower profile cover? Still trying to figure out how to make it work.
  24. Your 98 uses the 0630 head, the same one in that ebay ad. But that ad is wrong, in that the 0630 was only used till 99.
