  2. I got a ticket recently for not wearing my seatbelt. I refuse to pay it. The clutch was going out in the jeep as well as running very rough. It had died when i was rolling to a stop sign, so i took my seat belt off to get out and push the mj to the curb, well a cop gave me a no seatbelt ticket anyways. He was ticket happy and didnt even offer to help push it to the curb to get it out of the way. pissed me off
  3. ya, i didnt want to shell out the cash for a new breather tube so i made my own from some parts i scrounged from a old ford station wagon we had in the parts lot. i think i got the hose adaptor from a fairmont :D
  4. that a valve cover breather grommet from a 351C will fit in the CCV port on the 2.5 :beerhead:
  5. Basketball?? whats that?? i thought this was summer. :teehee:
  6. nice lookin manche. Why can everyone else find a 4xmanche and i can't even find a 2wd for parts. lol :headpop:
  7. Yep. threw in a new clutch. fixed all my problems, and fabbed up a ccv hose. runs like a champ now. Made it down to nevada without a problem
  8. that would be the one. gracias
  9. ive searched for at least an hour and i can't find the post I'm looking for. it has three links to parts on it, for the part that runs from the air cleaner to the breather port right behind the filler cap on a 2.5. also has the link to the rusty's air tube.
  10. A&S Salvage.970-352-2922. just down the road from Andersons. I believe its on 8th street past the tractor dealership
  11. ah yes.gotta love that puky cream color. Best thing i ever did to mine was to paint over that. lol
  12. i just rolled over 250,000 about 500 miles ago. still puttin along, but there was some shavings in the oil last time i changed it

  14. well I'm in pendleton, Or. about 8 hours from home. I left at 5 this morning and got here at 8:30 pm. long drive. i maintained about 70 mph the whole trip and i figure i have averaged about 21-22 mpg so far(even with a major headwind the whole way) and thats with about 700 lbs of stuff in the back. I could tell the 2.5 was struggling at higher altitudes compared to the oregon mountains. ill be dropping to below 1000 feet by the time i get home and speed limit is 65 so my overal mileage average should come abck up to 23-24.
  15. yup. all packed up. got a 2000 mile trip from laramie, Wy, to oakland, Or. leaving tomorrow at 5 am Image Not Found
  16. i had a can of chili made on the exhaust manifold(not joking) and some elk jerky

  18. but trying to either find a 4xmanche or a wrecked cherokee for cheap is the problem. lol
  19. there is a yard down in Greeley Colorado that has a ton of cherokees and i think 4 comanches. non of the comanches were 4x4 though. i really was hoping to find one and put my powerplant in it so i would have a 4x4.
  20. thats a bunch of malarky. as long as your fenders cover your tires and you don't have more than 1.5" sticking out on each side you are fine. Dads a cop, i asked to make sure my 67 was legal. lol
  21. When i took all the badging off and taped everything up to paint it, i noticed that i had a cherokee and a comanche fender badge. comanche was on the right, and cherokee was on the left. This got me curios, so i started checking junkyards and sure enough other comanches had the same deal, cherokee on the left and comanche on the right. Was this some sort of factory mess up, or did they just randomly grab a cherokee fender and slap it on there?
  22. and the emergency flashers still work. lmao
  23. have you guys seen the video on youtube of a push mower on NOS?
  24. you guys crack me up
