I have 2pull a parts not a single 3.55 in any of the explorers. According to ranger station and explorer forum 3.55 are only available in open axle not ls. I had limited slip so I didn't wanna down grade traction got a 8.8 w4.10 gears limited slip. And I found a dana 30 w 4.10s for 50

I cannot find a 3.55 limited slip ford 8.8 so that kinda sucks

Sold the cap. Now I need opinions I want to go full axle but I have tire laws in ohio and they'll stick out to far. What can I do to cover them? Make custom flat fenders? I'm keeping it low budget. Or should I go 8.8 rear? I plan on doing hill climbing/rocks so the full width would be great for stability.

I've heard u can swap axle shaft from pre 85 to a one piece. Have not heard about unit bearings worse then the cherokees looks the same as ours just bigger

Right now it will probably stay that way for awhile. Then if I hit the lotto or some thing a company in toledo makes Bedsides at $350 a piece. So realistically ill probly put a ranger flaireside bed on it.

Neither do I pull a part is 125 an axle so it wouldn't be so bad even if I had to regear.
