  1. I must say, most country crap would probably drive me to sodomize sheep if I was forced to listen to it for too long. But, this guy doesn't sound half bad. :hmm: Willy
  2. Not a big deal. It's not even dripping. This really isn't an issue that is specific to the D35. While the D35 does suck, this is pretty common with this type of axle where the tubes press into the center section. Look around, you'll see you're not alone. Willy
  3. As far as a parts store parking lot repair, I once had to replace the wheel studs on a rear axle after the lug nuts came loose and mangled the old ones. In the parking lot of the Superlift ORV park I had to replace a leaf spring pack with a bastard pack made up of leaves from two XJ leaf packs and one MJ leaf pack. Those are two that stick out in my head. I'm sure there are more, but most of the rest I remember right now were repaired on the trail. Willy
  4. :hijack: Off topic, but I just wanted to mention that you have some very detailed and informative posts with some obscure facts. I really enjoy reading your posts and learning from them. Willy

    phone question

With Verizon I know there is a * something number you can call that will update the software, I just can't remember what it is. If you stop by a store or call customer service they should be able to tell you what it is. Willy
  6. Nice job. That takes a steady hand. I like to think I'm pretty good with a grinder, but I'd probably go cross eyed attempting to do that. Willy
  7. Because that is how we roll on the trail. :fool: Willy
  8. I think it would function much better tapered. Plus I think that would probably look pretty good. Did you use a grinder to split the pipe in half? Willy
  9. Any pics of how you bobbed the bed? Thanks, Willy
  10. x2!!!! I'm gonna do this Take plenty of pics and share them with us. I would eventually like to do this too and always like to get ideas from how others do things. Willy
  11. Installed a longer drag link, straight tie rod, and stock pitman arm reamed for the Chevy TRE. Now the steering wheel is centered. :D The drag link and track bar are pretty close to parallel. I only got a chance to drive it a couple of miles on the street, but it felt pretty good. Willy

    phone question

Have you tried updating the software on your phone? If they have added new towers in the area your phone may not be aware of them. Willy
  13. There are some examples in the projects forum. This will get you started - here and here. Willy
  14. This is Axle. He is a four year old mutt that we got at the humane society as a puppy. He was smaller than our 25 pound Sheltie back then. This is Moab. He is a three year old mutt that we found abandoned in a park. :fs1: Apparently he had just been given to a new home the day before. When the father got home he decided to dump him at the park. :fool: I don't understand morons like that. He is a great dog. Persistently happy and wagging his tail. This is the most recent addition, Jeep. He is a 10 year old Australian Cattle Dog we picked up this spring from a local rescue. His previous family had him since he was a puppy and decided to abandon him when they had a baby. :headpop: He can be pretty cranky and at times is really resistant to do anything you tell him to. He didn't seem to have much training. We are working on getting him to play nice with Moab and the cat. This is Chevelle. I can't remember how old she is, something like five or six. She was my wife's roommate's cat before we got married, but she liked my wife better. Moab is the cat's best friend. Willy
  15. It's not that big of a deal. There are plenty of 4 cylinder MJs out there. :rotfl2: Do you know the story behind what happened? I bet its last few minutes were pretty interesting. Willy
  16. He is towing less than 4K. Properly set up his MJ will tow this fine. Plus he specifically stated that he does not want to get a bigger truck. Buying a bigger truck just to tow this little trailer is a waste. :fool: 4.10 gears should work pretty well for you. I'd look for a '97+ 8.25 and a '96 to '99 D30. The 8.25 will have larger shafts and the D30 will be high pinion and no CAD with larger axle shaft u-joints. Car-part.com should help you find a matching set in your area. Look for 2.5L XJs. It is also very important that you get the proper drop hitch to get your front out of the air. Willy
  17. Obviously he has no idea what he is talking about. You need an '87 to '90 cluster. A '91 cluster is not the same as the '87 to '90 clusters. Willy

    RIP Piper.

    Sorry for your loss. Willy
  19. Photochop. Willy
  20. I'm not trying to be offensive, but, yes, you are at least partially to blame. Is Nate a douche bag with sh!tty business practices? Fairly obviously yes. But you still chose to do business with him after you already knew this. This type of stuff is what allows many companies like this to continue screwing people over. Until the customers start taking responsibility for their own actions they will continue to do so. Willy
  21. Crime rates dropped in Chicago? :huh???: Are the politicians the only ones committing crimes now? Willy
  22. Not to in any way justify Nate's crappy customer service, but are you a masochist? :hmm: I don't want to be an @$$, but all I can say is that you really have nobody to blame but yourself. This sounds exactly like every other encounter I've read from Nate's customers. Apparently you read those same complaints and still decided to buy from him? It just sounds like you wanted to torture yourself. This type of stuff just doesn't make sense to me. :???: Willy

You used the url tag instead of the img tag. You also had both tags before the image address. The end tag with the slash needs to go after the image address. Willy

  25. Are you referring to the editors of 4 Wheel and Off Road? Have you actually read any of the articles? They do almost nothing but praise the parks. :hmm: For some reason I am thinking a JK... Rob L. They brought back the Ultimate Super Duty and renamed it the Ultimate Ranch Truck. The JK was '07. Willy
