  1. Nice job on the bob. Makes me want to get off my butt and get around to this on mine. Willy
  2. Welcome Jason. If you are interested in joining a club I'm president of Cascade 4x4s out of Tacoma. You're welcome to join us on any club runs if you want to check us out. Willy
  3. It's hard to tell for sure from the picture, but your bumpstop tower appears to be fine. It looks like your track bar is screwed up as the entire axle has shifted to the driver's side. Willy
  4. Understood, but I couldn't let it slide that you would choose to update Jeep Forum over Comanche Club. :fs2: Willy
  5. I've got to go to the lame Jeep Forum to get updates? Boooooo! :ack: Willy
  6. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the wonderful looking mud mixture substituting for gear oil. I wonder where that came from..... :hmm: :huh???: Willy
  7. Thankfully :shake:
  8. Yesterday was our club's annual Christmas tree run. We got off to a slow start as we searched all the local auto stores for a TPS. When we finally found one we quickly changed it and caught up with the rest of our group who had already started breaking trail. We had some great weather, great views, and the snow packed nicely. It was a blast to get out and play in the snow. :D Breaking trail. More pics here. Willy
  9. Is anybody else confused by this? What is in the preliminary stages and who is building it? Are you referring to WFC's Comanche from this thread? Where are the pictures? Neither of the links seem to work. Willy
  10. Why do you need hydraulic assist for a street vehicle? I don't see why you would need the stronger tie rod either. Willy
  11. Probably a little more than that. They are Rusty's 4.5" springs with 1 3/4" spacers. I don't see why it wouldn't work. As long as you are aware - which I'm sure you are - of the interference with the sway bar bracket and the need to move the track bar over the axle. This is probably the best picture I've got of everything finished. Subtract a few inches from it and I still don't think you'd have any contact issues with the passenger side unirail, etc. Willy
  12. No complaints at all. It has held up well. I had some initial concerns that some of the bolts might work loose with all the stresses encountered with a steering bracket, but nothing yet. I thought about the WJ set up too, but this seemed like a much simpler route. Willy
  13. The stock D30 knuckle with a JB 4x4 bracket. I've got more details on page 11. Willy
  14. Looks like when I went up in our last XJ...except I didn't have a front locker. I wish I would have caught up with you more. We had way too much down time where everybody just wanted to sit around camp and do nothing. Pritchet Canyon and Behind the Rocks were on my list to do but I couldn't find anybody to go with me. Willy
  15. Wheeling day 5 started on Porcupine Rim. Everybody in our club started home this day, so we wheeled with some friends that met us in Moab. We went back to Poison Spider Mesa that afternoon. This is Little Arch. The same arch seen across the river from Moab Rim. If you stand in the right spot you can see the beginning of Moab Rim through the arch. After this we hit the road. The MJ came along for the ride, but spent the next week on the trailer. Willy
  16. Wheeling day 4 was spent on Cliffhanger. We found the cliff. Only two of us were willing to go this far, so we turned around and went to the overlook. Looking down on the start of Poison Spider Mesa. Willy
  17. Wheeling day 3 started with Hell's Revenge. Besides Hell's Gate and Escalator, Deb drove the whole thing. The descent to Hell's Gate. The ascent up Hell's Gate. The Escalator. Last time I tried this was in our last XJ. I laid it on it's side and ended up winching out. I really didn't expect to make it up this time, but didn't have any trouble at all. Tip Over Challenge. That evening we drove up to the overlook on Moab Rim. This is looking up at Little Arch, which is accessed by Poison Spider Mesa. Willy
  18. Wheeling day 2 started on Gold Bar Rim. The gooney bird. After Gold Bar Rim a few of us went over to Potato Salad Hill. Then on to Baby Lion's Back. Willy
  19. We spent the first half of October on a tour of Utah and Nevada. The first week was spent in Moab on the trails. The second week we hit several national parks and monuments - Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Zion, and Great Basin - as well as other attractions. The MJ ran great, but we did have some issues with the tow rig on the way there. We picked up some bad fuel somewhere through the years that clogged the lift pump in Baker City, OR. We were incredibly lucky to find a Dodge dealer that had a new pump in stock and was able to replace it for us on a Saturday morning. We were set back about half a day. But, we were originally going to be there a day before everybody else so we didn't miss anything. Besides that we had a trailer tire that developed a bubble and was replaced in Idaho. Our first day of wheeling started on Fins 'N Things. That evening we went to Poison Spider Mesa. We didn't make if far before a storm came through and chased all but three of us off the trail. After some initial wind and light rain, we were greeted with this. Yes, a "double complete rainbow". Willy
  20. Please do not put Bushwackers on it. That is about the worst thing anybody can do to a vehicle. Willy
  21. Yesterday we went to a work party for one of the local ORV areas. A couple of things were donated for a drawing. Guess who won the Longfield bead locks?!! Willy
  22. Got rid of the old leaky battery. :D Willy
  23. Yes, we leave two weeks from tomorrow. :D Are going to be there? Willy
  24. Poly Performance had free shipping on SpiderTrax spacers, so I decided it was time to get rid of the GM look. The color even matches. :D Before: After: Willy
  25. According to the pictures, the 14B is currently in the rear. It is the semi-float 14B. Willy
