  1. I forgot about those ... That's a nice wheel too. I've seen them in chrome. Nice!
  2. That and it's a cult. Mooohooohahaha.
  3. The link didn't work for me. ??
  4. Yup. Color matched too. The MJ is pre-respray. They match now.
  5. This cracks me up every time I see it.
  6. Welcome! Hope you took pictures of the approach!
  7. Very cool lights. Too rich for my wallet. I balked at Truck-Lites, but couldn't find a comparison anywhere, so bit the bullet. Do you have these installed?
  8. Watched the video for the JW Speaker 8910 lights ... very cool, but not $302 EACH cool. Who can spend over $600 for headlights? https://headlightrevolution.com/jw-speaker-8910-evolution-2-dual-beam-5-x-7-chrome-headlight-heated/
  9. That's what a good deal looks like. Hope someone on here scarfs'em up!
  10. Here ya go ... $91/ea shipped. https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEW-15x8-Rim-Fits-Jeep-Wrangler-Hyper-Black-9050/391948625285?epid=1230943663&hash=item5b41f56585:g:fdUAAOSwdU9bqkpP The seller has them in Chrome too ... under $500 for a set of four including shipping. The best thing about OEM or reproduction OEM is they bolt right up, the offset is correct for clearances (in most instances) and you don't have to mess with spacers to accommodate the bolt pattern.
  11. More tire choices with a 16 inch wheel. With 15" wheels there's a lot more room for rubber. I like the OEM wheels too. Most of the aftermarket stuff is over the top. I have Ravines on my XJ and Moab 16X8 on the MJ (some say mainstream, some passe on the latter, but I like'em)

    Random Find

The odds that there are two so similar would be astronomical. I think it needs a lift.

    Comanche cap

I had a Leer cap on CL for months. Perfect fit for a long bed and it was in excellent condition (screens, sliding glass, working locks). Finally marked it as "free" and someone from the neighborhood took it to repurpose it. Part of a treehouse. The point is, it's a demand item, so it's worth what someone will pay for it.
  14. Yup. The proverbial survivor. Right climate and well kept.
  15. With that kind of budget, you can buy a lot of truck. Take your time.
  16. That's not metal flake paint, it's metalChunk. Looks like a good straight truck though.
  17. I've purchased 4 Jeeps remotely in the past 12-15 years. One on eBay (Indiana), one from a national search on carsforsale.com (PA and it was rust free) and two from Craigslist. Both from the Carolinas. Transported all but the one from PA because I traded something toward it. The negotiation process is tedious as most sellers want you to see the vehicle and negotiate in their driveway. That's reasonable. However, I have proof it can be done remotely. Restores my faith in mankind. Fly and Drive is too costly IMO.
  18. Export marker lights ... They're Crown aftermarket. I wanted to match the export directional which I found NOS. They're more opaque, but closer in color.
  19. This type of situation is what prompted me to revive this thread. I have a similar story, but it was the other drivers insurance company that needed convincing. The fact that their insured was cited and their adjuster agreed my vehicle was pristine before the crash, they sweetened the settlement.
  20. Reviving this thread to see if anyone out there has found a company that will cover an MJ without a list of exclusions. I was just looking at Hagerty for trucks and SUV's and they consider a brush guard, roll bars and toolboxes; "Extreme Off-Road Modifications". https://www.hagerty.com/insurance/classic-car-insurance/does-my-vehicle-qualify/trucks-and-other-utility-vehicles I use my truck as an almost daily driver, but I've dropped some coin on it. I don't consider it a show truck. I just wouldn't want to hear, "Sorry, it's 30 years old. It was nice, but here's a check for $2200".
