  1. Spartan or Aussie. Both companies make one for the AMC 20.
  2. Or the control module underneath the dash is going bad...
  3. Glad one of us was able to help. Nice looking truck, by the way.
  4. Click your username at the the top, right corner of the screen. When the drop down menu pops up, click "My Profile". Once that page loads, hover the mouse pointer over the blank picture, the word "Change" should pop up. When it does, click that and then choose a picture you want to show up and upload it. That picture is called a profile avatar.
  5. You'll have to run new lines from the MC to the distribution block.... You can buy new compression fittings or if you're careful when you remove the old ones, you can reuse them. I've done the XJ booster mod on my XJ and the WJ booster on my MJ. Both required me to have longer lines coming from the MC. I took a bunch of brake line from a ZJ with ABS. I actually took the lines off the ABS control box thingy and just bent them how I needed them to run, reflared the ends and voila.
  6. In honor of the lives lost, the service members, and emergency personnel, and to every American affected. United We Stand.
  7. That's a matter of opinion. But like you said, it's up to who ever owns the rig as to what they want to do with it. I run black steel rims on my XJ, but I too, got them before a lot of folks decided to do the same.
  8. Supposedly, it can cause burnt or warped valve due to lack of back pressure, as I stated in my first reply. Not sure if that claim holds any water, though. It's been a highly debated topic on a lot of different forums.
  9. Probably won't be for long if you straight pipe it... lol
  10. That part was definitely not accurate... at least not around here. I was lucky to find my set. The guy didn't know what he had, so I offered him $100 for all four with tires and caps.
  11. Depends... is it running a 2.5L or the craptastic GM 2.8L? On fuel injected engines, it's not likely to cause issues. On carb'd engines, it's been said that it can cause burnt valves due to the lack of back pressure.
  12. I asked about this a few months ago... It was told to me that the misspelling of "problems" was purely accidental, but due to the nature of that particular thread, and the irony of messing up the title of said thread, the misspelling would stay as is on the grounds of humor.
  13. While I definitely agree that these Turbine rims are by far my favorite OEM wheel on our Jeeps, I can't say I totally agree with everyone here saying he ruined them. It's his rig and he's entitled to customize it how he sees fit. With that said, the red spokes aren't my cup of tea, but it doesn't look horrible either. I have 5 of these turbine rims that I had planned to use on the MJ, one of which was painted black with bed liner, the other 4 are eat up with brake dust. My plan was to sand blast them and paint them flat black, minus the outer edge. I think these rims look good the stock way and/or black. I painted my stock steel MJ rims high gloss black and polished the removable "chrome" rings. I like it so much, I may take the rims off the MJ and put them on my Camry... yes, you read that correctly.
  14. Everybody has that option on their own content...
  15. Why's that? Legitimate question.
  16. If I ever decided to do it again, I would likely have went a different route. I chose to do that because, 1.) it's what I had to work with for free, and 2.) as someone above pointed out, it is a fairly easy swap as it's all Jeep stuff to begin with. Being my first major overhaul, I wanted a fairly easy swap so I could learn a great deal of knowledge. Unless it's an '86 haha. Then it's hack, weld, and BFH affair. :rotf: True ... but the OP specifically said he has an '88 and was looking at '87 thru '90 engines. Direct fit. Yes, I'm aware... I was just trying to be a little humorous while relating to the topic since I did the same swap, plus the additional fab work.

  18. One weekend?! He must have not slept the entire weekend haha.
  19. What a shame they FUBARed it... Especially being a '92 LWB.
  20. Check the ground behind the driver's side tail light.
