  1. No it will not mount with out tow hook brackets. I can assure you that the brackets are much easier to find than the brush guards though.
  2. These brush guards mount with the hidden winch/tow hook brackets. Mine is mounted on the hidden winch style ones like this.
  3. Keep your peepers peeled. I ended up driving 3 hours to grab mine off a dude on Facebook. Totally worth it though.
  4. So according to this the new springs you got were a half inch lower than stock 4WD leafs. Like I said I'm on sagged out OEM 4WD leafs with shackles and I'm at the same ride height. This seems contrary to the reports that the GS MT springs lift the vehicle.
  5. Interesting. Which shackles did you use? I'm on stock leafs (non-MT) and Belltech shackles and mine is 10.5 from top of axle to frame.
  6. I should say I reused the stock hardware. Looks like you have new and it might not have enough threading to bring it in all the way.
  7. I think I'd third a Leatherman. Mine has come in handy way more times than I thought it would.
  8. I'll bite. When I installed my Belltech shackles (for a Chevy 1500) they had that much gap. I just torqued to spec, have yet to see any warpage in the metal.
  9. Command-Trac and Selec-Trac emblems, but neither had locating pins.
  10. I have heard the S10 2.8 Y pipe works, not sure you can get those new either. Probably your best bet for new is a local exhaust shop, or grab one off a S10 at a junkyard for something used.
  11. From reading about the NP228/229, Jeeps reasoning was the selec-trac transfer cases had more slack in them. Some people speculated that the less consistent load of a manual and the higher shock load of a clutch could cause an issue with that slack. Though as you've said people have put both the 242, and the 228/229, behind manuals.
  12. @eaglescout526 I'm gonna Pm you in a moment.
  13. Long bed Comanche specific camper top for sale in Bluefield on Facebook. $275 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2633167083582233/
  14. Learn something everyday. Thanks for sharing. I was just under the impression they were only behind the 2.8's wasn't thinking about other Jeep models.
  15. Mines a '10 Honda Fit. Though since the middle of March I've only driven it 4 times

Another vote for chrome 10 slots.
  17. I just wasn't aware you could get a 4.0 bell housing on one.
  18. A 4.0 with an A904? How's that work?
  19. Any turbo style muffler is decent. Thrush is easily found at parts stores and priced decent. I have a Cherry Bomb turbo on my 2.8 and it's pretty mellow and not tinny.
  20. Another thought is that links will take up less real estate in the bay than a box, even a small one.
  21. I replaced my fusible link with just replacement fusible links. Seems like a lot of extra steps when you can get that same AWG link and replace it with the same length and be fine.
  22. Still looking, have had no luck with any vendors.
  23. That's gonna look rad man!
  24. Reminds me of BABYMETAL. I love the thread where Rob Zombie was calling out his fans for talking trash about em. Very recently started listening to Dance Gavin Dance, and they dropped a new album today so I'm listening to it on spotify currently.
  25. Just because it was stock doesn't mean it was stock ride height. Also you shouldn't measure your height at the flare. That's not an accurate way to measure how much lift you have over stock. That only shows you how much the springs lifted your arch from the old ones. This is the only accurate way to measure how much lift you have. Not measuring the height of the flare to the ground.
