New Clutch, Or New Tranny?
92tanMJ replied to Knucklehead97's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Defidently swap it out for a ax15. Everyone says to swap it out and never look back. But I'll let someone jump in here who knows better than I. Here some links to get you stated: Write ups: http://www.jeeptech.com/convtrans/ax15swap.html http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f19/yj-trans-swap-ba-10-5-ax-15-write-up-312203/ General info on it: http://www.jeepaholics.com/support/Topic595140.aspx http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=70388 But like I said Ill let someone else jump in here I'm sure theres a few people here who have 'been there, done that". -
I agree with you that the reinforcing rib makes them superior but IMHO having 96- dash with 97+ doors, would look something fugly like Jocelyn Wildenstein. Unless you could mount the old door panel on the new door. Which I think would also be too much work than its worth.

Kansas City Structural Steel. I work in the old shop, a rented space inside the old Chevrolet Leeds Plant. Definately has its perks. yeah yeah i know. not sure why i put roof rack in the title :dunno: It's okay brotha, I was trying to say it nicely with out sounding like a C#*@. You can editt the title when you click the edit button and then click full editior. haha but it does look nice! I want one!! Yea, I'll figure it out at some point. And thanks! I'm pretty happy with how it came together. Next up is a rear bumper and tool box to mount between the bed rails and bolt through the headache racks foot plate holes! Damn this is going to be awesome!!

I do love those rims though!!

Paint Or Dye On Plastic Parts
92tanMJ replied to Biotex's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sounds right to me? :dunno: But you paint/dye EVERYTHING then I guess it doesnt really matter if the color is 100% matching because all of the panels will match in the end(Grays to gray, blue to blue, not blue to gray.) ..... assuming my logic is okay on that one. -
Its in renix systems also i believe. Your 92 should have it, Mines out of a 95. Yeah I'm like 99% sure it doesnt have one. But I'm probably/ am wrong. Looks like the PO removed it. I mean the 92 is a HO and my 98 doesnt have one either. But I'm probably/ am wrong. I don't think they did because it looks like they didnt do any maintenance on it at really until guy before me who put in a new tank and pump
-
Oh well in that case leave them! Lol But thank you for giving me ideas when I have kid hahaha you defendently need to figure out that lift though
-
I got mine for like 120 bucks at the junk yard, but that also included a set of leafs off an s10 and my yard always over priced. But you should really check it out. I really like mine. When I lift my mj I'm going to go that rout

Where To Mount A Cb In A Mj
92tanMJ replied to TheDirtyJeep401's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The PO had it set up like that in mine, judging by the wholes in the dash Is there a write up for that? How are the seats? Are they taller than Xj buckets?
