Wait a minute. I can use motor oil for my tranny? Then why do they sell gear oil separately? I spent alot more money on gear oil than I would have on motor oil, haha. I thought gear oil was for difs :dunno: I learn new stuff here everyday!

I think you both are saying the same thing and mean that they're partially engaging. Which would make them 'drag'. My guess is your load sensing valve is not properly adjusted.

Save up some money and do a 98+ swap?
