  1. Wired wheeled up the rear for a coat of green..Then I noticed where is my spare tire.... I liked the green enough I used some on my air box to TBI All installed, I can't wait to remove the red and give it a nice army flat green everywhere.
  2. Well I got the ax-5 under mine not too sure about auto to stick. Also really like having the stick, especially with the 2.5 makes for a real nice set up and good MPGs. I was getting 22-24 during my time as a transporter it was real sweet. I'd sure take that ax-15 off your hands :brows: if you decided to stay auto, Thank you too.
  3. The Sami may have been a lot of work but that thing was a beauty. Yes defiantly something wrong with my current set up... what that might be technically, idk for sure. The main reason I'm wanting a complete set up for swap is to completely rebuild it and swap mine out for it then rebuild mine and keep as my back up set up. Plus i'm currently finishing my community college Automotive program, i got about a full year of school left and would love to add full drivetrain swap to the ever growing list of things I have done automotive related.
  4. So your have or going to have two 2.5ls how about the trans and t-cases (auto, Manuel, what t-cases)? I'd like to find a complete set up for swap for easiabilty of installation. I live off Johnson Creek, you would have been a few miles away, dang. Oh and the tube work on that Samauri with the tube fenders with sheet on top, that makes such a super clean look once the paint was on, I think I'd like to eventually copy that or just have you guys hook me up.
  5. Well I also installed 4 door JK shocks with only 500 miles on them ( JK weight 4800-5500lbs to my MJs mere 3300 maybe 3500lbs fully loaded). the ride feels good the height I achieved allows more visibility while driving but the cold weather is making my old truck squeaky and kind of jounceie over bumps but that's also comes form my wallowed out track bar bolts too so probably really nice but I'm in need of a few more repairs to make proper judgment. All in all though I think if feels better, rides smoother, and looks like the height the should come form the factory.
  6. I know hornbrod, they're almost like the mj d44 unicorn, except once there worn out there's no rebuilding them
  7. Thanks Matt, we should plan a trip once my MJ get a few needed fixes if yours is up to it. DirtyJeep I posted to your build the part numbers for the coil spacer and drop shackles. I'm in the process of buffing those rims up, reapplying a coat of clear, and searching to find a set of 31/9.5 to wrap around them.
  8. Super straight Comanche, i'm liking the build and glad to see the ravines on there...(my spare is a ravine, lol) the part number for the coil spacers from Autozone is 2.6102G for black and 2.6102R the part number for the drop shackles from Autozone is 13-4100 fullsize drop shackles
  9. Hey what do you guys think of my sweet Christmas Presents hand me downs from my lady's Father. Going to give that diagonal lip a matching coat or two of black to match the cut outs.... possibly.. Can't wait to find me some tires to mount on them and toss them under my MJ.
  10. Oh look a KC light switches.. Oh yes of coarse they not wired to anything, love it. Yes that is correct two antenna cords.. oh and the actual radio harness copped to $#!&. Time to wire this Beast correctly and no more shortcuts.
  11. Decided to chop the rear bumper removing the overhang Passenger side wheel hub Old Motor mounts driver side on the left and passenger on the right
  12. Well I'm currently in the Automotive program at the local college and want a back up drive train I can rebuild, restore, and repair to transfer into my jeep and then rebuild, restore and repair my jeeps current drive train and have a complete everything as a back up set. babyblack86 2wd shot motor interior is rough and your in Jersey. Don't you guys salt your roads there during winter too? $800... Sounds more like I would be doing you a favor. lol. Ideally i'm looking for a newer 2.5l block, as Pete M mention they are stronger and better build, an AX-15 transmission preferably, and one of the more desirable transfercases NP242 or something like that. Or Even someones wrecked Jeep, Crawler, 4x4 with usable parts I'm really looking to expand my own personal knowlegde and have the extra parts to build and repair my jeep at any time.
  13. dang mnkyboy, I was going to ask you about your drive-train set up and how much you wanted once your swap was done
  14. I really would like to find a whole jeep with similar drive-train option I currently have making for easy swap. PM or post if east coast going to need to be shipped, trailed, ect. let me know what you guys got, thanks.
  15. Well if any one one here has the above mention axle(s) that carnuck and Pete M posted about i would be interested
  16. So guy from CLs ad messaged me again with this info; inside width is 60” and Center of leaf spring pad are either 40 or 44”, forgot.
  17. Well glad I posted here before I went and picked them up. Thanks modder.
  18. Here is the other picture from the Cls ad, maybe it could help to decide if its upside down or just looks funky in picture
  19. I looked up some 1978 dodge 350 specs 79 inches wide to our MJs mere 60. That would put 10 inches of axle outside of my truck, on each side, bummer. I was looking closer and the front axle does look to be upside down. Also these are on CLs so that doesn't mean the person who listed them knows a thing about them, for all I know he could be guessing about them or just telling me what ever someone else told him about them. This is why I asked you guys. . Mr. Simon yes KOH is a dream of mine as well as rock competitions, hill climbs, and mud bogging. I had my truck over 4 years now, plans to build it are never ending, and the plan is to keep it for life.
  20. Overkill, I thought the saying was go big or go home. Dana 60 Rear Axle and Dana 44 Front Axle Diver side drop Matching Set with 456 gears Bottom drop on pumpkin Out of a 1978 Dodge 350 Need out of drive Way!!!! $350.00 OBO; that was the complete CLs ad minus pictures. Came out of a 78 Dodge 350 I believe thats a Van not sure of their width. 37s or so is about where'd I like to be and my eventual plan is to have the most awesome indestructible post zombie apocalypse MJ possible, with a possibility to enter King of Hammers one day in mind too. I want to drop a diesel drivetrain into my mj ( i know new transmission and transfer case will be on the list), cab cage, front and rear lockers, snorkel, the list of upgrades and modifications goes on and on.
  21. Hello Everybody I just found some axles on CLs, anyone got any feed back on this set up; Dana 60 Rear Axle and Dana 44 Front Axle Diver side drop Matching Set with 456 gears Bottom drop on pumpkin Out of a 1978 Dodge 350 Need out of drive Way!!!! $350.00 OBO; My MJ is currently equipped with the 2.5l 5 spped with np207 4x4.. Would these be a good start to building up my mj? After welding new spring plates, CTA mounts and shock mounts on correctly would I be able to throw them underneath or would I need to fabricate or order new parts to make it work? Here's a picture of them as well..... Feel free to post or pm me with any thing you guys know that might help. Thank you as always.
